These 3 have/will **** up the economy.

Although this bill is gonna **** us up like anything but sadly there ain't many sensible ppl in lok sabha to try and ammend it,no.

Plus now itrg the time of bjp to do some corruption through the leaky pds system thats gonna distribute these free grains,which seldom reach the targeted audience

precisely my point , The fund allocation has not been done or decided .. there is virtually nothing in the Bill which has been decided so it needs far more work before it can be implemented. The Bill itself is incomplete

U need 2/3 majority to ammend a law,it means it won't be ammended and that means these will be implemented

No,

2/3 majority is required for only some amendments, primary of which are election of President,changes in seventh schedule etc.

For scrapping FSB, only a amendment with majority of present and voting would be required.

Was there not a better way to spend the hundreds of billions?

India is critically short of good infrastructure and the money could have been used to employ millions of the rural poor building roads, bridges, railways etc.

you can always argue why not spend all money in defence.. or all in infra building.. or all on NHS type service or all on benefits... the trick is to get the balance right.
hundreds of billions (dollars?) not spent really, its much less money spend over very long period of time. NREGA, which is a 100 day job gurantee scheme, does exactly what you suggested, build infrastructure like village road, by using the same labour.

Panchayats are prohibited from taking up any work which was previously done by state PWD department. The only work that occurs under NREGA is digging ditches and then filling them up.

all systems will have leakage. There is no reason to stop good scheme from implementing just because some unscrupulous people will eat it. I am pretty sure your awsome BJP govt will stop all leakage once in power. But it will not stop NREGA, wanna bet?

I am from Haryana and here people get nothing with this bills. And also they have cards for them like Pink Card and Green Card. Pink Card is for Poor peoples so they can benefit of this bills. Let me tell you one thing Dude our country is not going to be fully developed by providing free food to peoples. Our country will develop when peoples will able to buy food and other basic need for themselves. And this is not going to happen with this bills. Because this bills benefits are not reaching to peoples who need it. I think our country should use this huge amount of money to increase small industries in villages and town that can provide employment to our peoples and our government should take this business to international so that the export of our country increases. I don't know where are you from but let me tell you in villages and small town peoples don't know about RTI or anything.

Agriculture growth all India is hardly 3% where as in Gujarat it is 10%. There is water shortage food get wasted since there is no proper storage facility why do you think India reeling under a double digit Inflation. These super socialist schemes have been nothing but smoke screen to hide the real failure of this Goverment. In the past 10 years the no of road built by congress is less than what was there during Vajapayee govt.
