The Indian way of looking at things is that a man with a a full stomach is a peaceful man, a chilled out man, a man who is not going to get off his arse to go and atack his neighbor.

For that reason alone most of us would like to see a Pakistan that makes the corner and thrives on its own.

But then we are reminded that at most times in our history, when we have been hit by Pakistan, Pakistan has actually been doing well, and in fact better than us with our huge starting inertia.

That takes the wind out of any peaceniks sails.
