Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan issues “Sanad-e-Shahadat” or certificate of Shahadat to their “Mujahids” (or terrorists?). The certificate reads that Mujahid xyz was associated with TTP and that he embraced shahadah while making jihad for glory of Islam and defending Muslims. WELL, DOES SHAHADAT REALLY NEEDS TO BE CERTIFIED? Would a person killing innocent people be a shaheed? Probably they need to check the definition again

Some of the instructions of the Prophet are as follows:

"Do not kill any old person, any child or any woman" (Abu
Dawud).

"Do not kill the monks in monasteries" (Musnad of Ibn Hanbal)

During a war, the Prophet (pbuh) saw the corpse of a woman lying on the
ground and observed: "She was not fighting. How then she came to be
killed?"

The first Caliph Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (RA) used to instruct the soldiers while sending them to war, "Do not destroy the villages and towns, do not spoil the cultivated fields and gardens, and do not slaughter the cattle."
