SA-17 Russian made BUK-air defense system

In the year of 2013 Israelis reported that they have bombed military equipment which were being sent to Hezbollah and claimed about destroying of Russian made SA-17 BUK air defense missiles that were heading towards Lebanon from Syria. In late 2016-2017 other sources reported that despite Israeli claims, Hezbollah possesses SA-17 air defense systems provided by SAA.

These sources have stated that SA-17 BUK missile batteries would be a game changer in the next war with Israel. Given that it is delivered to Hezbollah by SAA, it could be 9К317E Buk-M2E variant which Syria had received from Russia.

It has been reported by Lebanese website of Al-Mayadeen that Syria has armed Hezbollah with it's own advanced air defense missile systems, Pantsir S-1, which has been acquired by SAA from Russia and delivered to Lebanon.

if so why they could not show the remains of the missile , and the extent of the damage to the ship was more than what you expect from a time when the missile dont detonate.

Israel says that because they don't want to admit they taught the missile come from an Egyptian ship and fired a harpoon toward that ship .
