İnşallah Türkiye kendi savaş uçağını da yapacaktır. Hemen hemen çok şeyi yapıyoruz. 'Kendi savaş uçağımızı yapacağız' dediğimizde içimizden hiç kimse 'Biz bunu yapamayız' demedi. Herkes, 'Ne zaman yaparız?' diyor. İşte bu, öz güvenin kendisidir. Yaparız, ne zaman yaparız? Cumhuriyetimizin 100. yılında ilk prototipini uçururuz diye düşünüyoruz. Kendi uydularımızı fırlatacak teknolojiye de ulaşmamız gerekiyor. O da bizim hedeflerimizden. İnşallah kendi uydusunu fırlatan bir Türkiye, kendi savaş uçağını yapabilen bir Türkiye... 2023'e kadar bu projeleri gerçekleştirebiliriz diye düşünüyoruz. Savunma sanayisi çok zor ve pahalı. Güvenliğin bedeli olmaz, özgürlüğe de paha biçilemez. Eğer, güvenliği sağlayamazsanız, özgür de olamazsınız. 6-7 Ekim olayları gösterdi ki güvenlik yoksa özgürlük de yok.
