We seem to be diverting from the main issue and some people seem to be irritated so let's get back to the problem of the white elephant. How many CAP stations can you maintain with 29 aircraft and do you think that they are sufficient to provide viable defence to a National VP?

Detection would be done by AWACS and LRMPAs. Engagement would be by standoff weapons escorted by BVR aircrafts. As far as 1971 is concerned have you forgot what Hangoor did to Kukri.

india paid 2 bill for an outdated piece of crap .lol its gonaa be in arabian ocean this year. face it my frnd. and 2 yrs dont make an aircraft carier outdated. its more dated and advanced than anything pn has ever seen.

It was over budget and cost more than the initial set price agreed but the Russians underestimated the work needed to be done, India also changed its requirement for the carrier hence the price increase.
