If Army SF are on the scene there is little sense in bringing the NSG in. Given Gurdaspur's proximity to Kashmir (where there is a massive IA/SF/RR) presence it was always going to be a job for the PARA (SF)- this is pretty much their bread and butter in Kashmir.


Had this been (God forbid) Bangalor be, Vizag, Goa etc the NSG would have been on the scene a long time ago.

it seems like Punjab police SWAT conducted the operation and army was in supporting role.

and this is how it had to be done. these kind of operation should be done by SWAT teams.

I am 100% sure these are Islamic terrorists from across the border..the town is close to pak border it seems.
