What's new

tejas wont be inducted in large numbers

the same role will be taken from these fighters by J-10 .. but for longer range missions and strike roles.. Sukhoi copies will be used... so
we might see J-10 in hugely big numbers ... my estimate is around 1000 ....

Tejas Mk1/Mk2 will be getting produced for this reason till the late 2020s ... so we might see around 500 of these fighters in IAF/IN

These estimates are ridiculous. There will be no more than 400 domestic J 10, and around 200 LCA by 2020.

my estimates are based on solid facts ...

to replace J7/J8 which are around 1000 ... chinese can easily produce J-10 in these nos... they have support structure based for that .... already ...

producing these fighters in this large no will also pave the acceptance of this fighter in world stage ... and many chinese clients will happily take this fighter ...

Tejas will also be produced in these nos.. coz India can only produce these fighters in large numbers to balance large number of fighters in our east and west ...

..

1,000 of j-20!?? lol```are we going to fight a total war? in 2020s will be only seeing j-10A/B/xx, J-20s and FBC-1A/xx in PLAAF, Sukhoi is going to be doing second hand jobs`

We are not going to war anytime soon. When the J 20 comes the J 10 will no longer be produced. This means only 6-8 years left, and we produce around 40 a year.

the way you define 'solid facts' are ludicruos``haha```there are currently more than 500 F-15s and 1250 F-16s in USAAF, so by your funny 'solid facts' USAAF is going to have 500+ F-22 and 1250++F-35s?

a plane like J-20 will never can/will be produced in large numbers as a J-10 .... so for every 1 J-20 produced thr will be minimum 2 J-10 produced...

yaa your absolutely right...

there will be around 500 F-22 and ... 1200+ F-35 in times to come... just wait for some time.. F-22 production lines will re opened ...

Actually it will. It has to replace The J 10, J 11, j 8 and pretty much everything else in the inventory. At around 150 million each we can produce 500 at just 75 billion dollars. Which at that point in time will be around half a years budget for the PLAAF.

J-10/J-11 right now are in evolving stage .. you will see them in production line till the earlt 30s// thr services will be used in the first half of this century ...

J-20/J-xx will provide them safe environment to work in ... both these 4th n 5th gen fighters will work in a strategy whr both can be effectively used as a system ...

for Indian air force ... this combination will be of..

FGFA/AMCA as 5th gen... and all other as 4th gen...

Sigh.. There is no logical reason for China to keep producing previous generation planes when we have the budget for far more. Just as America will replace all their 4th generation planes with F 22, and F 35, we will replace everything with J 20, and other 5th gen jets.

"tejas wont be inducted in large numbers ", the number has to be fairly large since almost 450+ aging and obsolete Migs need to be scrapped or grounded, especially the 350 MIG 21s. The Mig 21s are older than Zsa Zsa Ghaboor. Even the Indians themselves call the Mig-21s flying coffins.
IAF have 200 Mig 21, out of which 120 are Mig21 Bison....By 2020 these Mig21 will be replaced by MMRCA (126+) and LCA (I think atleast 50-60 will be inducted by 2020) and by 2018 all 272 Su30 MKI will be inducted....All Mig29, Mirage and Jaguars will be upgraded and atleast 1 squadron of PakFa will be in service....not to mention hundreds of helicopters that will enter in both IAF and IA...

I agree that production rate is low at the moment but order is also less....but by the time mk2 will get ready the production is increase...
At the moment IAF has placed order of 40 lca mk1 and IN has a requirement of 50 LCA (most of them will be mk2), apart from this there is a requirement of 120+ LCA mk2 and if IAF won't be placing order for so many mk2 then the number of MMRCA will increase but mk2 is very good so i don't think MMRCA will be increased but i still believe a follow on order for MMRCA might be placed and number might be increased to 200 considering retirement of Jaguars...

right now.. J-10/J-11 production lines are picking up pace ... these fighters wont be replaced with 25+ years ... after that these will be replaced...

Are you living in a fantasy land where no plane gets outdated? In 25 years even J 20s will start being replaced.

airframe life of these planes produced right now is around 25 years so they will start getting replaced by that timeline....
