Take the JF17 cut the nose and close the dsi , it will look 90% like MIg 21 /J7 which first flew in 1960s .

Can you show a similar aircraft as LCA, dont show Mirage or any other show one that has CRANKED delta.

As far as superiority is concerned, I have seen members in other forums saying it is closer to F16 A, B ect. BUT US of A use similar aircraft for target practice.

Tejas is certainly economical and user friendly. It is one of the finest and pilot friendly aircraft but so far as performance is concern It can not beat Mig 29. In fact no plane can beat Mig 29 either F 16, F18 or any F Except F 22. Mig 29 can give fight upto Su 30. It is an old but highly agile plane. Upgraded Migs are certainly very potent planes.

All of our scientists say that Tejas is a 4+ generation Plane. Pl provide the reference of Officer who told it a 3.5 generation. In fact there doesn't exist any category such as 3.5. It is 2nd, 3rd, 4th 4.5th and 5th only. So do not create one more category for your convince. Indian should be proud of such achievement, this achievement isn't a small feat in a aerospace engineering, some nations took 5 yrs to field a 3 generation fighter jets, some take 10-15 yrs to build 5 generation stealth fighter jet. Put some cream cheese frosting on LCA cake, on top of 30 yrs India engineering to get the jet to flight, LCA need all kind of subsystem imported from other nation, power by US engine, LCA arm with Israel missiles. Bravo to Indian aerospace industry, LCA should make India proud and the envy to the rest of the world.

Those aircraft are advertised as Su 35 beater and F 22 killer from Day 1. After advertisement of they being world beater, some of their own scientist expose that they are full of Flaws and lacks the capability of III rd generation Planes. Had the world not been envyed, they would not have done such Mud slugging. Our plane is emerging as one of the finest plane in category. What it has demonstrated in early days, other lacks after years of induction.

What you say is by and large true for every plane. American Planes are made by considering American situation in Mind so as European and Russian plane. American planes designed to operate in cold atmosphere do not perform at par in hot atmosphere such as Indo Pak Scenario. When we make a plane, certainly our prime focus shall be our requirement. It is certainly emerging as a top class plane in light category.

It amounts to 1 plane per week. It appears to be a BS figure. This is not the total numbers of plane Inducted by India. How can we loose 1100 planes in 20 years.
