Does it have something to do with Grey wolves? I have seen Taken 1 and the criminals are Albanians, not Turks.

For the record: there's no 90 model Mercedes in İstanbul operating as taxi, due to incerased costs of spare parts it's not profitable. Huge majority of taxis are either Fiat Albeas or Hyundai Accent Eras

Yea, but it is not really positive advertisement. People who don't know Turkey might think it is another Afghanistan after this movie.

It's perplexing why so many countries and people in the Middle East (the only overwhelmingly Muslim majority region in the world) are so much in love with the infidel Western movies. Can some one explain why all these people in Saudi, UAE, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon and elsewhere are in love with American propaganda movies and media head over heels?

Based on the trailer shown here, it's nothing new. Same old American Jewish-controlled media's cheap jingoism, cheap 'action' scenes, violent camera shaking to make it appear there's some really intense 'action' scene taking place. Take a look at 'action' scenes from top HK or Oriental movies.

The same reason why they like indian films, the same reason why Arabs like israeli women despite israelis treating them like....... You know the rest.

That's what i don't get about many Arabs, the men in particular, they hate israel and want it removed from the Middle East yet they would do anything to get married to an israeli woman. Not sure if all Arabs are like that though.

Well, it's an interesting movie, I think IMDB needs to be checked with regards to who's in the movie, and what the plot is about.

Plot in first movie

Seventeen year-old Kim is the pride and joy of her father Bryan Mills. Bryan is a retired agent who left the Central Intelligence Agency to be near Kim in California. Kim lives with her mother Lenore and her wealthy stepfather Stuart. Kim manages to convince her reluctant father to allow her to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. When the girls arrive in Paris they share a cab with a stranger named Peter, and Amanda lets it slip that they are alone in Paris. Using this information an Albanian gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim barely has time to call her father and give him information. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend.

Plot in second movie

Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent, stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. The father of one of the kidnappers has sworn revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul. Bryan enlists his daughter to help them escape.

So beautiful istanbul is dragged into a war between the CIA and albanian gang..
