It doesn't surprise me a bit, since KMT always enjoys the persecution of the pro-CPC Chinese citizens, they would rather kill a thousand of pro-CPC Chinese than killing one foreign invader.
They would rather shoot the Chinese fishermen than defending China's territory from the foreign intruders, just look how they deal with Japan and Philippines.
BTW, the theory that KMT is pro-Nazi is not a myth, just look how they are still posturing the Nazi salute in the modern days.
