On Vikipedi(Turkish Wikipedia) T-129's ATAK's picture was A-129's picture... I was angry about it and someone replaced it with the best photo of T-129 currently... Now it's good... After deliveries we will get even better photos... Thx to that 'someone' for that replacement...

TAI plans design/modification of a new variant of T-129 Atak called B2 to be manufactured in 2016. The take-off weight of B2 is planned to be increased between %5-%10 (max. 500kg, Totally: 5500kg), While new generation avionic systems/hardwares will be connected(!) to gain aprox. %50 lighter weight of current A version's avionics. Such efforts will make B2 to be able to carry more weapon payload and longer range. The Nose section will be re-designed/quite longer than standart A and B1 versions.

We will see whether It will be done or not...

BTW, The numbers of Ataks to be manufactured is expected to reach procurement of 60 helicopters at a likely deal to be signed with Azerbaijan. Serious source announced negotiations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and It is noted like Turkey is going to manufacture 60 T-129 Atak helicopters for Azerbaijan, Although official mouths regret it.

I know that recently Azerbaijani army specialist was testing the helicopter in Nakhchivan. I am sure they will purchase it but i dont know how many. 60 might be too many for me, because, recently Azerbaijan also bought 35 attack helicopter from Russia.

turkmenistan don't have a lot of attack helicopters they cant buy it from west and they don't wanna buy russian type so i think they ill buy 50 t-129 they ill badly need it against Taliban

There is definetly no deal for ATAK between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

However, ATAK will be indeed tested in Azerbaijan (according to the reliable source of kokpit aero). It will be also brought to ADEX 2014 defence expo in Baku. So I would say that the prospects for a possible sale is there.

These Mi24s don't have FLIRs I'm assuming these old helicopters shouldn't have many electronic circuits, maybe we can modernise them with glass cockpit, AF223, DATALINK, NATO-grade weapons, fire control radars....

Possibilities are limitless, because the systems are not digital. There isn't any software we have to crack, we can get down to business right away.

Azerbaijan is as much our country as Turkey, we should do whatever we can.
