SZ-9 launched successfully`!!!

Congratulation to China for your splendid success in launching SZ-9! A very transparent one!

Your progress is simply AMAZING!

If this launch can conclude successfully as planned, China can firmly place its self in prestigious tier one world space club – USA, Russia and now China, and further distances itself from the 2nd tier nations. :agree:

I believed, am believing and will believe that it is exceptionally stupid to exclude China from international space station. With that extraterrestrial stupidity, ISS simply alienate itself from the most genius and hard working people of the world, and looses vast resources, monetary and technological.

It can't be helped, the mistrust between beauracracies is too great, and China hasn't done much to alleviate the fears. Even if an agreement was reached it might be as long as a decade before the first launch could happen as the protocols are translated to Chinese and the crew is trained and red tape is pushed through, only to be ready to go at the end of the ISS current shelf life (though it will likely get a boost up in orbit).

There is always hope though, the US and the Soviet Union managed to work together in space, it is definitely possible for the US and China.

+1 for transparency.

Salyut-1
Salyut 2,3,5 also called the Almaz

Skylab 1973-1979
Mir 1986–1998

Yes China is the 3rd nation who is capable to build a space station.

We are in a good pace in the space program development which should meet our goals in the near future.

For argument sake, sure Russia and US have had their skylabs in terms of capabilites, but in terms of space station there is one in operation by the "conglomerate". We will be next - so no. 2 in terms of building an actual station navigating in space! :P

I did say China is the 3rd nation (independently) capable to make this happen :) so it doesn't matter that Skylab and Mir isn't here anymore. Gotta give credit to USSR and USA for achieving this back in the 70's and 80's right? :D

Okay! But too bad not much of their technologies are shared with us, especially less from the Americans!

The Americans are suspicious of China's space program because it has ties with the military. That's why they won't allow China to participate in the ISS project. If they don't wish to share their space technology with us then we just have to develop our own :D So far China is doing fine and step by step our nation creates history as well. It would have saved time and money if they allowed China to work on the ISS.

congratulations ... but wait she is too cute to be up there in space *sniff*
