Syrian forces fire at 2nd Turkish plane - Turkey

we are ready for war at any time; but the fact that we had birds in the air -- ready to show your intruding aircraft the exit path -- shows we were alert.

and no such violations ever took place again, otherwise it would have been a different story....your pilot likely got an audible alert that he was being painted. That was enough to scare them into oblivion and remind them that our skies have never been safe for intruders from your side.

we easily could have shot it down and slept soundly at night

Pakistan has expressed “deep shock and regret” after Syrian troops opened fire on a rescue plane searching for pilots shot down on Friday. A Pakistani foreign office spokesman said: “We express our solidarity with Turkey over this unprovoked tragic incident.”

“We urge Syria to cooperate with Turkey in carrying out a joint investigation… We urge restraint in avoidance of any action that may lead to an escalation of tensions in the region’’.

Turkish Vice Prime Minister Bulent Arinc had said on Monday: “One of our CASA planes took off with a rescue team. Unfortunately, shots from the ground targeted our plane. Our foreign ministry and our military command have notified Syrian authorities and this harrassment must cease immediately”.

Stop taking the higher ground here. The fact of the matter is that intrusions happen every now and then even now. Many are technical in nature. The air forces of both the countries have learned how to live with it.If you are talking about the intrusion post 26/11 then know that it was a "gambit" operation.A single Mig-29 entered Pakistani air space (Not a fleet of Su-30MKI as being told by Pakistanis here) to test the preparedness of the enemy.

BTW India violated Pakistani airspace with impunity many a times. We operated a fleet of high altitude reconnaissance Mig-25s .Flying at 80,000ft they were beyond the range of any Pakistani missile or jets .Indian pilots would sometimes break the sound barrier just before entering India to tease the Pakistanis. From the Mid 80s onwards hundreds of Mig-25 flights were undertaken and none were brought down.We don't need these jets now since we have got powerful satellites.

Be informed that if the PAF dares put India's air defenses to the test the results would be catastrophic for the PAF.If you think that you are alert then so are we.

You did chase out using interceptors...right ?

You acted against intruding aircrafts in your way and Syrians did it in their way. In the end, sovereignity was non-negotiable.

Yes they chased 'out using interceptors'. You will never attack a plane with no warning. Yes Sovereignity is non-negotiable thats why Turkey had and has the right to invade Syria. Do you know how many terrorist camps there are in Syria; these terrorist camps train terrorists; and they come in to Turkey attacking Turkish soldiers and civilians. This is a threat to national security; America invaded Afganistan just for that reason. The other month Syrian forces shot people across the Turkish border; this in it's own is a reason for war. People like you just don't understand that you cannot just attack a plane because it entered you're airspace; the plane went out of syrian air space after the turks warned them... so they got hit in international waters. Yes Sovereignity is non-negotiable thats why Turkey is right.

All i see here is big mouths, no offence.

in eye of us (mostly french and english) you fight kurds, you call them terrorist, fire, they fire back, then things go on until now. you bombard northern iraq as your play ground, and you think its your right to do that as iraq cant control those terrorists.

same is with syria. syria says you back up terrorists who kill syrians, and as you cant control your borders, they have the right to do the same you do in iraq.

see? your logic is pure nonsense. your country is as good as any others. you arent a superpower to do as you wish, so dont talk like one

it would be a good day if you middle-eastern forget about what you WERE centuries ago, and consider realities of your countries. neither of you, turkey-iran-pakistan is a major power in the world, you can think whatever you want, but thats how the world sees you.

Turkey is not backing these Arabs; America and the major powers are.
Do you know how many terrorist camps there are in Syria and Iraq; these terrorist camps train terrorists; and they come in to Turkey attacking Turkish soldiers and civilians. This is a threat to national security; America and the UK invaded Afganistan just for that reason. Yes Turkey is no super power. But it has regional power just like Isreal.

Why am i even writing this; you're no english; i bet you're a 'wannabe' English who's mum and dad happen to be Griks.

Turkey should stop going into Syrian airspace

unfortunately- thats the solution-
and unfortunately- i salute the courage of syrians downing a trukish jet-
in accordance- i hope we had the balls to do the same to those fcukin drones-

but there is a question, "why would British put their aircraft in Turkey and attack on Syria and this way Syria will have to first shoot down that aircraft and attack on that air base from where that aircraft took off also? and here the case is, British just want to put their aircrafts in Turkey and then they want the Turkish aircrafts to go into air space of Syria and then that certain aircraft will be first shot down and then Syria will attack on that air base of Turkey. and at the same time, British aircrafts will have flown out from Turkey?"

Britain has no need of airbases in Turkey

RAF Akrotiri (IATA: AKT, ICAO: LCRA) is a large Royal Air Force station, on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus

That base is close enough to Syria to do whatever they want without using any turkish bases.

Isn't Britain got radars in island ? would be useful in that situation.

thats why Turkey had and has the right to invade Syria. Do you know how many terrorist camps there are in Syria.

No, Turkey has the right to remain with-in its premises and not fiddle with a sovern country's internal affair no matter how grave the issue is, the Palastinian issue is much older and needs much attention, you people should divert you attention to Palastine, looking forward to when Turkey sends Food-Water-Meds to Palastine and Liberate it "If Turkey-saudis can which is highly unlikely".

This sort of mentality will put you muslims to shame across the globe, So when are you people going to invade israel to Liberate Palestine.

Syria has all the right to shoot down any plane entering Syrian airspace without permission even if that plane belonged to the Russian air force, yes you need permission to enter Syrian Airspace, Syria is not a GCC country where Israeli and American air force fly around freely all the time.

Okay, but you also need to warn before shooting at things. But guess what, you didn't and the worst part is, it wasn't even in your airspace. So long story short: you're fvcked.

why did you post this?
were you made to make the above post under duress?
do you know this is not stupid and funny section?

your post is so stupid that it has made us all feel stupid as well.

no its not funny neither stupid , when somebody claim we intercepted Syria coded messages between Air defense and command and control and in that message Syrian Arab soldiers (or even according to some of the claims here Russian technicians) spoke in Turkish language to get permission for intercepting the plane m you must show these peoples the hard way that how funny and fake their claims are.

I dont know about that 10km is Syrian waters, plus this is just a propaganda from the Erdogan government, why? because the Turkish people are against him, he wants to start a fire so the Turkish people will be mad and ask for war.
If you didn't ask for permission then we wont give warning our airspace we do what the hell we like with it.

Excuse me but who would you be to obtain a secret recorded radio communication converstion? Plus Turkey has no nucleur bombs; well I'll give that to your lack of knowledge. You do not need to give solutions, as many are going to be annoced tommorow. If you want to raise questions, you should rasise it about the tactics of the Assad.

Don't kiss Assads appropriate places, because he is shia; don't forget we are muslims and Assad is killing muslims to. Assad is just using Iran and Russia to grip to power for a little bit more. He is using your beloved country son, don't forget that.

and how you prove that the message of yours is not fake ,and well some body may claim you have stolen some NATO nukes in Incirlik air base , by the way the nuke was in my scenario to show you how fake this recorded messages can be , specially when you claim Arab soldiers spoke in Turkish when they refereed to your plane .
