In fact its true, Turkish defence industry took its initials after the sactions for the Cyprus invasion, from that day things started to develop but it has been slow because of political turmoils.
Thankfully the last decade has been very fruitful for Turkish defense industry and hopefully stays so for the coming decades.

A German is very vindictive so this is how they “pay” back. If German politicians wouldn’t answer the outcry of certain people they would loose votes so this is a way to appease this group and at the same time give a green light to Turkey. Because if you read German government statement they don’t oppose this operation in Afrin.

BS. The Western nations are vehemently opposed to Turkish operation against the Kurds. It is no secret that the Kurds are used like cannon fodder by the West to fight various wars on their behalf. Also, the West has no independent foreign policy. The US largely dictates European policies.

Germans are against Turkey in general. There is a deep history of mistrust, animosity and prejudice against the Islamic roots of Turkey. The West despises Turkey's Ottoman history. Some Germans visit Turkey because it has a rich and historic culture. Add good weather to that and the choice is simple. Germans or Westerners don't visit Turkey out of love if that is what you are trying to proclaim. The German sobbing is useless. Turkey bought the tanks and can use them as they like. You cannot expect to sell weapons to a nation and lecture on their use.

You claimed the product is good, then why would it need an upgrade? Clearly it has some sort of disadvantage or vulnerability.

Just because a product is good doesn't mean it is flawless. An upgrade improves an already good product. Look up the definition of upgrade.
