Smart moves by iran to economically integrate with Iraq and syria..integration of economies will eventually lead into formal military alliances...something I think Pakistan and possibly turkey are watching with interest.

You're correct but having Qatar on our side is poison arrow in the heart of MBS. Also, if Turkey joins in we could have the M.E. NATO that S.A. and UAE failed at. I would love to see Iran pay UAE back one day for its role in all the nefarious activity surrounding JCPOA and warming ties with Israel.

UAE is like Qatar. We need to work with both of them when is in our interest. Yes UAE now is main Iran enemy in financial issues but itself suffer more from leaving Iran economy. Also UAE helped both Iran and Russia during Aleppo battle. That was UAE who fund many battles in favor of Russia and Iran when all of the other Persian gulf monarch allies behind Saudis against Assad in Syria.

I really don’t mind. However it is poetic justice that they are now paying to strengthen Iran’s position. Faith it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

Iranian strategy is longterm. If they are lucky then they’ll share Qatars faith.

That is not new from first day, every body in region knows UAE is not happy with Obama and Arab spring. And they spend huge money to support financially and militarily, anti revolutionary forces.

Iran, Oman to hold joint military drill, create new shipping route

Iran and Oman will be holding joint military exercises within the coming days, in an effort to build relations.

Speaking at a meeting in Muscat consisting of 120 representatives from Iran’s business and economic sectors, the Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi announced that “currently, our joint military committee is present in Oman, and we will hold a joint manoeuvre in the coming days.”


Shahroudi stated that the expansion of maritime transportation between Iran and Oman would boost trade and mutual economic interactions, citing the recent increase of direct flights between the two countries from 20 to 48 per week. According to the ambassador, Iran’s trade with Oman also reached $700 million in an 11-month period during 2018-2019, of which around $250 million consisted of Iran’s imports from the Sultanate.
