Suicide bomber neutralized in Iran

Police shot dead a suicide bomber at the entrance of the police station in the Iranian city of Chah Bahar, IRNA reported on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at 9:10 am local time.

City's mayor Iraj Heidari said the police officer identifying the criminal, opened fire and was wounded after a return shot by the terrorist. As a result of the incident the terrorist was killed.

A suicide vest, a hand grenade and a pistol were found on the terrorist.

His name was "Malek Joogzi" or something like that and according to the news he was a Pakistan national.

TEHRAN, Iran — An Iranian news website is reporting that police have shot to death a man suspected of planning a suicide bombing in southeastern Iran.

The Tuesday report by Tasnim says the man planned to approach police headquarters in the port city of Chabahar in Sistan-Baluchistan Province.

It said some police were injured during the operation that led to the suspect’s death, although it did not elaborate.militant Jundallah group, which says it is fighting for the rights of Sunnis and the Baluch ethnic minority in mainly Shiite Muslim Iran, has been involved in sporadic bombings in the region in the past.
