What's new

Stunning night flight photos of Tejas

Intresting take. But do realise both these aircrafts are way beyond and ahead of the fighters they currently stand to replace.
Antique mig21s for us and, f7s/mirages for you chaps. Hence in the role anc capacity they are filling in, its more than welcome.

Infact, he's right. It's replacing Mig-21s and Mirages III/IV, of the 60s and 70s. Had both aircraft joined their respective air force in the 90s or early 2000, then it'd have made more sense. After a decade, both aircraft will face with obsolesce.

True, the delayed procurement will obviously be cut short from their intended service period.
However, even with the advent of stealth fighters in the next decade, I highly doubt that both india or pak would be able to deploy stealth fighters in large numbers. We would obviously be overwhelmed meeting the MMRCA prod deadline. For paf, i guess that would be a future block variant of the jf17

@Riaz Hussain has been perma-banned for being a flase-flagger troll. I am surprised that so many Indian PDFers fell for it.

Anyone found to be mixing JF-17 & LCA has also been warned without distinction.

Enjoy the pictures & be respectful of others' feelings.
LOL, so where was he from ?

Wings will also get smaller and more difficult to make with composites, so even more weight.

Wings would get smaller, but they can be build the same way without adding weight. The wings of the Eurocanards are build from composites too, but the real problem would be the loss of internal fuel. Most part of it are stored in the wings and the limited size of the LCA airframe itself restrict additional fuel tanks to counter that, as we can see at the MK2 modifications. So going for canards now, might result in major redesigns and changes of the initial design aims, hardly worth the results as you said too.
