Because the underlying message with Islam(misunderstood by most muslims themselves) is that Islam doesn’t necessarily reject or abhor other abrahamic(and some non-abrhamic) religions besides open pagan idolatry and generally regards them as either previous versions or lost messages. All Islam says is that yes, what you are following has a solid base but an obsolete ideology and guidance which is now in its latest and complete form in Islam.

What Muslims fail to understand, that Islam is the only religion. Allah did not send different religions to different nations. From Adam (AS) to Mohammed (PBUH), all the prophets were Muslims. However, Islam was completed and sealed on Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), it did not start with him. The only thing is, different prophets were given different sharias, depending on the time and people they were send to. Even their belongs were passed down.
