Mate - I am waiting for supreme court order on katchatheevu. I am waiting for that drama to unfold when you would see a total reversal in India's SL policy. As Indian govt would be bounded by that verdict and had to act against SL. I would want to see how SL reacts at that time.

But still does Kachchatheevu waters have some special privilege in International Law which allows for illegal crossing of borders ? As for SL killing Indian fisherman , I will ask again , What do the Indians do with people illegally crossing their borders ?

Under the treaty agreement of 1974, Indian fishermen do not have rights to fishing around the island as it is within the territorial waters of Sri Lanka.

Iran oil ban is not effecting Sri Lanka soon, US has requested to cut down Iran oil only 15% in this year.

India need to support its own people first instead of thinking about its SAARC mates. It had taken away Katchatheevu from TN and TN fishermen gets killed when they go near katchatheevu. India has not moved a single finger for them. India did not do a squat when Assam demographics changed fearing its SAARC mate. India did not do a squat when KAshmir pandits were thrown out of KAshmir again worried about their buddies in gulf. If coalition politics forces India's hand, so be it.
