Sri Lanka backs Pakistan govt after Osama bin Laden's death

Firstly, i can assure you that i am definitely Turkish. Secondly, what i am criticizing is Indians in this forum who try to bash Pakistan because of OBL, that is really low of these people. Finally, here i am talking about a real war not some minor disputes.

surely indians will bash pakistan,OBL was not hiding in some cave in pakistan but a $1m mansion, other than that pakistan has supported terrorism for a long time and are now facing the consequences

What is there "not to bash " in such a situation ....The terrorist was found in a mansion a stone's throw away from a Pakistan Army establishment..in a Pakistani city to boot. Several terrorist masterminds like Hafiz Saeed , and several other extremist leaders of Let , several other anti-Indian organizations which are responsible for thousands of deaths in bombings and other terrorist attacks roam freely , give hate speeches etc.

What do you think , the Pakistani intelligence and Govt is unaware of all this ?

Just consider yourself lucky that you dont have a neighbour sending 10 terrorists into your cities to butcher 200 innocents .....

As for your nonsense about "minor conflicts " in the subcontinent , I suggest you read up on subcontinental military history before showing your lack of knowledge . Suffice to say in a "real war" aside from being safely neutral , the Turkish Govt neither has the means nor the stomach to do a thing .

I say, why are the Turks I meet very liberal and look down on religious fundamentalism and not such hypocrites? You sir are in the minority.

Wow, you have really no idea of Turkey and its history.
To answer the first statement. Turkey's history is full with amazing victories, we have proven ourselves in everyone's eyes, but only ignorants like you stay blind to a great power liek Turkey, i don't even have to remind you of the Ottoman empire which streched from north Africa, to Wien, and into west Asia. And remained a superpower for centuries. What does your history tell? A history of constant colony, wow amazing! You got your indeoendency 5 decades ago, and you dare too degrade Turks. Get a grip of reality -.-

-To answer the second bold statement. The majority of turkish people do believe in God and religion has an important place in their daily life. I am Turkish but you think you know Turks better than me? How can i discuss with such mentalities?

I think you guys are bashing each other for nothing. I have been living in Australia for many years & I've many good Pakistani friends. We connect pretty well, as our cultures are similar. But unfortunately it is at the Government levels there is a lot of differences due to historical reasons etc, & this is brought to the streets of both the countries. Pluck a Pakistani & an Indian out of these surroundings & take them to a neutral land & they instantly forget their differences.

You remind me of a typical Indian I meet for the first time especially when they know I’m Pakistani they come out with the same old rhetoric of how our culture is somehow similar which in truth is absolute b/s!

Pakistanis in general have hardly anything in common with Indians and here in the U.K I see Pakistanis mainly chilling ethnic minorities such as Afghans, Yemenis, Turks, Albanians, Slovaks and even Poles rather than befriending Indians. I myself personally have a plethora of white British mates and feel a great deal closer to my Iranian and Chinese mates than I ever would with an Indian. Pakistanis don't really care about Indians and most don't get along with Indians at all, this fallacy about us being similar is conjured in the minds of deluded Indians who suffer from an inferiority complex.

Thank you Sri Lanka for your support. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

You may be right in some ways, but I'm a Mumbaite & incidently I was in Mumbai on a holiday, when there was a terrorist strike. Unfortunately I lost a good friend who was at Hotel Taj. I was so upset, that I wasn't even interested in meeting any of my Pakistani friends when I got back. But all of them came to visit me & sympathised with me. They said that they were not in agreement & was disappointed with what was happening back home. Of'course there were some fundamental elements also here who thought otherwise.

Another thing I would like you to know is that we never seek out a Pakistani to be a friend, but it just happened way back when we were students.

Some Indians are getting uneasy that China, Sri Lanka & even Iran are backing Pakistan over the US

http://www.defence.pk/forums/world-...s-us-against-extending-war-into-pakistan.html

That is very good my dear but understand this that they are trying to apply some pain balm after u have taken the hit.

There is nothing wrong in that the Srilankans and Chinese want to support you, there are many strategic reasons which are off topic now.

However their main concern seems to be that this kind of action might get the USA to dug in for a longer haul than intended. This is a way to put some kind of pressure on USA i.e. they are saying diplomatically "this is not good for the region".

Now u people are more aware of the US style of working and in current situation they give two hoots to these supports as they are still the unquestioned super power.

There is nothing uneasy for us, China being ur all weather friend is known to whole world. Regarding to Srilanka their moving into Chinese camp is slowly visible, but don't worry we will think of something.

Anyone who sympathizes with the Mumbai terror attacks is a blot on humanity however this has nothing to do with what I was stating to yourself as you seemed to go an a tangent. I was merely stating that Pakistanis and Indians are vastly different in terms of culture and don’t get along at all despite your own experiences!

Thank You Sri Lanka :sri lankan flag:

We owe you one

Sri lankan backing has not got any weight.... sorry if i hurt any sri lankan sentiments over here ...

but Sri lanka is not a world player by any means ... I don see any positive in that for pakistan... tommorow nepal might say they back pak... but will that have weight???

Thats very valid question from SL. I had similar question sometime back. SOmeone had to ask. India cannot ask because of obvious reason. Surprised China didnt speak up early. Big question,
Did US violated international law ? Yes
Can Pak take US to UNSC for violation ? Yes

Will Pak take US to UNSC for violation ? Not sure. lets wait and watch.

Till then pak needs to put this !

To be frank its a hub for smugglers. If you have to say that your nation located in the Indian Ocean as a strategic importance, then why not Maldives or the Lakshadeep. You are inviting everybody to your shores to show your friendly face which has a dark intension of using your friendship with PAK, CHINA, etc to support you in the International Court for committing genocide on your Tamil population
