Author mentions that US can outrun the Soviets in satellite race by more than a decade but the then President vetoed all such space ambitions; as he didn't want US to set a predicament for a Space race or more still space warfare...Is this documentary made to save the face of US technical inferiority is the respective field as compared to Soviets..or is it true. Comment on it..

I think it would be nice for India if rickshaw drivers stayed away from matters involving padhe likhe people like ISRO etc.

You know the Russian can come up with some kind of excuses/stories that the USSR would have beaten Sputnik by 10 years or so if it were not for this or that pathetic excuses that they can come up with

...Or the USSR would have beaten ameirca to the moon had america not gotten the top notch Nazi scientist like Von Braun; that's more of a legiz excuse than anything

Von Braun was more German than American. Educationally anyway

Berners-Lee was an Englishman educated in Britain so again not an American.

America has just been a magnet for such rare individuals.

I don't wish to be rude but there is strong evidence that Americans become dumbed down after a generation or two of assimilation.

The American space program is based off Soviet rocket engines too.
