What's new

Some newly launched and upcoming cars from Chinese auto companies (Ed2)

Which new technology are they bringing to market? Electric?, hybrid?, fuel-cell? Because of all already exist and in electric apparently Tesla is leading. But I will definitely wait for some good German alternative because for me Tesla is an ugly and substandard car in every aspect other than electric drive aspect. The panels on Tesla do not fit (not flush with body) especially on Model 3
Actually I was pointing towards basic technology shift. Its not just new sensors or electric cars, it's whole new nevigation techniques and all new driving frameworks. IA will be brought in on massive scale, and companies in Germany are preparing for it since 2008.
It will be another big jump towards how we handle vehicles. First jump I consider was to bring all traffic on the roads which were constructed using hydrocarbon waste, or on metal tracks. Next jump will be self charging, self driving framework. But in first step, a whole new concept cars will be on road, infact they already are. And currently whole scene is adopting MEMS as next norm. Pakistan better concentrated on cheap electricity production and electric cars.

i think he is talking about EV car.
Develop countries will banned conventional car in Future (2030 & 2040)

2017: 11,800

minus 92 percent from 2017
Chinese car companies have managed to capture half the ~30 million auto sales in China, and should we even bother to sell cars in the anti-China country vn?? lol...

Guys, internal combustion engine cars are here to stay for the next few decades, hence I mainly show some new ICE cars here, but for EVs, China is currently one of the few leaders backed by our battery giants such as BYD and CATL, etc. For that, you can go through this thread:
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/chin...nev-driverless-etc-news-images.438024/page-36
And also this thread I made sometime ago:

I don't think so. Super fast charge and high batt density are developing very fast. Batt car may outrange petrol car soon and charging it full will be as fast as filling up a petrol tank in near future too. The best is electric grid are almost everywhere which you can easily make a charging point with little cost.

These are some pure electric middle-high end models. There are numerous other models, PHEVs, range extenders, fuel cell cars, super capacitors, etc. China is currently by far the largest renewable energy car market and producer (mostly Chinese companies like BYD, BAIC, and NIO, etc.), with a annual sales of 1.25 million, accounting for half of the world's total sales:

Are they electric or Hybrid or just look pretty? If the prices were shown that would be useful.
In this thread, I have shown some car prices, which could give you a rough idea about the price range of Chinese cars:
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/newl...r-companies-specs-features-and-prices.627565/
Among those models I have shown in the current thread, I think the Changan Oshan X7 could be a high value for money car:
4705*1860*1720mm in size
1.5 liter turbocharged engine giving 178ps power and 265 Nm torque.
Every features including electronic stability control, huge screen, etc. etc. comes as standard.
Pre Launched price starts from 79,999 cny or ~11,000 USD. The formal launched price will usually be at least 1,000 USD lower.

I am also promoting EVs, I think we have the advantage in such fields such as EVs and self-driving, etc. Every traditional car manufacturers should be prepared for this, otherwise, they are going to be eliminated just like Kodak.

Petrol saloon car will not last for another decade. Only truck, industrial heavy vehicle and marine ships will continue use diesel for few more decades. Technology are moving very fast, some of the hurdle we encounter now will be overcome very soon.

Chinese cars have no future in Vietnam.
chinese smartphones have no future either.
Personally I like Beijing roasted ducks and Hainan chicken rice. So you can try to sell them to Vietnamese.

i think not available in Pakistan
I find it really wierd for that the only Chinese car with some presence in Pakistan is still this decade old model:
FAW_V2_2013.jpg

While we have hundreds of affordable models. I think the domestic market just feed those car makers too well.

Develop countries will banned conventional car in Future (2030 & 2040)
I proposed this for Pakistan in 2005 on a defense forum: a phased introduction of electric cars and a phased elimination of combustion engines and a date by which they would be banned. Seems like everyone else listened except Pakistan!

Shenzhen is the first major cities in the world to realize the fully electrification of its bus fleet with 16,359 pure electric buses in operation. In addition, it operates 12,518 puer electric taxis, which is 62.5% of the total, as of Dec. 2017
https://www.d1ev.com/news/shichang/60344
Not just Shenzhen, fully electrification of buses and taxi fleets is the trend countrywide.
Report from several years ago:

However, since China is a huge country, although some pure EVs like the GAC Aion LX. and the BYD Tang EV can reach 650km NEDC range with reasonable price, but the infrastructure build up needs time. At this stage, PHEV can serve as a transition:
BYD Tang PHEV: 0-100km acceleration within 4.3 sec:

Wey P8 PHEV

Geely Boyue PHEV
