So i came across this article from The Nation.
https://nation.com.pk/18-Aug-2016/the-regularization-of-katchi-abaadis-pakistan-s-need-of-the-hour
Couple the above article with the governments anti-encroachment drive, i started thinking what would be a good solution. What can be done, so that the people have a place to live and the area doesn't look like a eyesore either. Something that would be cheap, easy to build & maintain and hopefully environmentally friendly. Searching the web and i came across multiple solutions, from using recycled plastic bricks to using homes made of MDF. But then i came across a video and thought this might be the perfect solution.
Imagine if these
Looked like these
These are Expanded polystyrene dome houses, a Japanese innovation. They are cheap and quick to build and are also environmentally friendly.

So the solution would be to allocate land for all the katchi abbadis, build the infrastructure like roads, sanitation and underground utilities (electric, gas, etc) and then build these dome houses and then allocate one to each family. After this ban the creation of all katchi abadis and encroachments.
What do you guys think? if you have an alternate solution please share.

Modern method mudbrick houses. Nepal is building those and they are far better against earthquakes than our conventional construction.
Thermal properties suit our weather as well.
