Amazing Samsung!

It is expected that, after China and South Korea finalizes the free trade agreement sometime this year, South Korean companies will have a serious edge over foreign rival such as Japanese and Western. But domestic manufacturers such as HTC, Xiaomi, Asus, Huawei, Oppo, OnePlusOne, Lenovo, ZTE will feel the heat, as well.

And more domestic brands are joining the fray.

Oppo has been one of those Chinese companies, which, in our opinion, innovate. They presented the world a smartphone with a rotating camera (N1), then upgraded it and released the N3 model, where the rotation was even motorised. What is more, the company surprised the smartphone world by introducing a crazy thin R5 device, which was the thinnest smartphone on the planet for some time. We think that company strives for both innovation and great looking industrial design in its devices.

This time around, the company has a device, which we would say represents its design portfolio. It is an Oppo R1C, which has a great looking appearance and it includes a sandwich construction: glass on the front and the back, and metal on the sides.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei has become the core equipment supplier for British mobile operator EE's 4G network upgrade.

The deal itself is worth some 2.3-billion US dollars.

The upgraded 4G network is going to allow for download speeds of 400 megabits per second.

The new speed would triple the current 4G speeds in the UK.

Comparatively, the average speed of China Mobile and China Unicom's 4G networks is around 100 to 150 megabits per second.

EE operates the biggest 4G network in Europe.

It has more than 7 million 4G users.

The network currently covers around 80-percent of the UK's population.
