Stealth technologies depend upon two basic methods to defeat detection:

1. Physical Function
RADAR absorbent characteristics - Radiation Deflection at angles away from RADAR receiver

2. Electrical Function
Utilizing various ECM techniques

Both are brute force methods in my opinion to defeat detection because you will keep researching methods to overcome "physics" of materials and soon you will hit the ceiling.

The answer to the above is to turn LO to HO or "Observable" by utilizing both physical and electrical functions.

This can be done by spreading Smart dust or motes in the atmosphere.

The motes will stick to the surface of the aircraft and it will alter its physical characteristics which will start reflecting RADAR waves back making it illuminated.

Mote will start sending data about the object by transmitting it to other motes and ground station. This will turn the stealth aircraft into a mini RADAR transmitting station itself and both conventional and anti-radiation missiles could be homed in to the hostile object.

There will be challenges as where to chemtrail motes, but one can potentially spread millions of cheap motes in a large area. Other challenge will be transmission of signals from cubic mm size nanobot to nanobot. These are daunting challenges but can be explored to find many other civil and military applications.

The idea is not new, e.g. HP was working on Central Nervous Systems for Earth (CeNSE) in 2009 using smart dust to help Shell in its exploration operations.
