Interesting thing is no channel has still disclosed any details .i saw it only on dunya news ,may be they just got sneak into it by their sources .while PAF has no intention of making it public

Most probably they might be checking out jf-17 and J-10's head to head

our media is dumb...because when Jf-17 was in China demonstrating maneuvers, non of the single TV channel shown even 5 min video of K-8 and Jf-17 aerobatics.
they don't cover such newses, they are more interested in politics.

now what i say to this air force they wasting our millions on every months exersize but cant shot down objects which kill us daily.

Regardless of how powerfull the military is, it always acts on political leaderships orders. there is however one exception to the rule.........

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) are undertaking a joint Air Exercise these days in Pakistan code-named "Shaheen-1".

For the purpose, a contingent of Chinese PLA Air Force comprising combat aircraft, pilots and technicians have arrived at an operational Base of PAF.

The exercise has been designed to share mutual experiences, hone professional skills and accrue maximum benefits from the expertise of the two Air Forces.

Pakistan and China have historically enjoyed strong bilateral friendly relations. This is the first time ever that a contingent of Chinese Air Force has been participating in an operational exercise in Pakistan.

This visit coincides with the celebration of year 2011 as the "Year of Pakistan-China Friendship".

well, I think we had this discussion somewhere here, It would be interesting that what would be the concentration area and what aircrafts would be fielded by both airforces. I dont think PAF is allowed to field F-16 against Non NATO countries without the permission of US.

Money and the fact that it belongs to the US of A and third because we are partners in WOT and drones are used or supposedly used to bring the bad guys down.

the government has tied military's hand for this matter..... probably because the relationship with US would get even worse.
couple of years back, when mush was in power, there was a drone flying over pak-afghan border and paf responded by sending jets and nontheless the drone had retreated back to its base.
sooting down isn't a big problem, in last PA's exercise army shot down small drone with anti-aircraft guns and shoulder launched SAMs.

Getting an approval in a tate of war really would not matter.

no approval is required - u have to give prior notification - as far as your country's MMRCA selection goes, it will go to the US for the FA-18.
