Silicon Valley Stands With Muslim Teen Ahmed Mohamad

After I said what i said which is there....I clarified it with an article (post 34) coz I knew you would pull it against me! Now if you cant add 2 and 2, how is it my fault? I even HIGHLIGHTED 1 bit:
You did say Muslims specifically, and now you are eating your own words.
Since the case is of a Muslim I expect to stick to topic...if you want to open a thread about a Sikh be happy to do so and tag me in!
It's about a Sudanese too, it's about an African too, it's about a person from a colored race too, it's about how afraid people are about suicide bombers too. But, there you go, flashing the Muslim victim card. What would have happened, if it was a real case ? Such things have happened before.

I said Muslims coz the thread is about Muslims...I never denied I said Muslims I denied what you are applying and modifying it to become!

I addressed this read the article!

That I dont know....Its fear then there is paranoia!

But, there you go, flashing the Muslim victim card.
So the media is flashing it too! Had he been Christian from Africa my article would still stand! Had he been a sikh kid my article still stands! But your accusation is what it is accusation!

What would have happened, if it was a real case ? Such things have happened before.

a child is handcuffed
taken to police station
detained for 2 days!
interviewed without a parent or a lawyer!

All this is what I was talking about!

@nForce :tup:

On topic - What the hell y in a steel box? Anyways he's free now , Thats a good thing.

Americans have every right to worry about terrorist activity but need to change their laws for children a bit. Y handcuff him ? and then kept him in jail for 2 days?

Good work Ahmed...leave that shitty racist school and attain your dreams young brother. Already MIT, Twitter, NASA etc. are offering him internship/employment when he is of legal age.

He wins. That bastard school and its bastard administration loses a talented mind.

What a brilliant young man he is - wise beyond his years.

This thread was about a boy named Ahmed. You turned it into a thread about Muslims. I think I'm done here.

stick to the topic! Stop derailing and being emotional!

You have anything to contribute ? Don't quote me otherwise, please.

I am quoting two paras below from this news article which gives you what is the prevalent understanding about this incident:

The irrational response of school officials in Irving, Texas isn’t limited to one student, one school, one city or even one state. In 2015, anyone can engage in bigotry against Arab Americans and American Muslims and seemingly get away with it. Bigotry against us is acceptable (and sometimes even politically necessary) for electedofficials, candidates for publicoffice, pundits and others to advance their careers – or their television ratings.

Muslim children in the United States aren’t sheltered from the vitriol against their faith and communities happening every day. They are on social media, they hear about the armed men protesting in front of mosques, they watch movies reinforcing stereotypes about them, they watch grown adults running for their president of the United States speaking ill of Islam and equating terrorists with Muslims. I am tired of answering the young people with whom I work – many of whom are Arab American, American Muslims and/or South Asian – when they ask me “Why do they hate us?” How do we make them like us?”

To blow up a bomb of course...duh!

The evil Muslim boy...always blowing stuff up.

So next time my Casio watch beeps at the top of the hand, I should be arrested ASAP since I am emitting a beeping noise which no one can immediately source. WOW!

What watch made by Casio comes in a large metal reinforced suit case?

That is not the answer to my question. Are the hordes of people and organizations that support and sympathize with the kid also anti-American? After all, they are showing discontent toward the school and the racist corps...

Nobody has said that the teacher, the school or the police did anything wrong.

Oh the irony. Are MIT, Twitter, NASA etc not part of the same US of A? :D

If it was a bomb, why wasnt the school evacuated. Only in Texas, yet the usual suspects are busy "TCeng" the authorities even when the entire US('cept rednecks) are supporting the kid.

He was perhaps a little careless about it. But if I built something at that age, I would be bubbly and excited about it instead of worrying about political issues. When you are 14, you are supposed to be busy with video games or sports.. not why your religion sets off alarm bells.

The funny thing is that this "poor boy" Ahmad, is the son of a two time presidential candidate from Sudan, now living the dream in US of A, and milking the present event for every bit it's worth. Figures.
