The Indian Army is ready for a long haul in holding onto its position in Dokalam area near the Bhutan tri-junction, notwithstanding China ratcheting up rhetoric against India demanding pulling back of its troops.

The Indian soldiers deployed in the disputed area have pitched tents, in an indication that they are unlikely to retreat unless there was reciprocity from China’s PLA personnel in ending the face-off at an altitude of around 10,000 feet in the Sikkim section.

A steady line of supplies is being maintained for the soldiers at the site, official sources said, signalling that the Indian Army is not going to wilt under any pressure from China.

At the same time they sounded confident of finding a diplomatic solution to the dispute, citing resolution of border skirmishes in the past through diplomacy.

Nice updated new to boost Indian's moral but you guys hear nothing about the preparation on our side...we shall see who will withstand the ultimate game of Chicken.

I think China will stop the road construction and both sides will withdraw to maintain status quo.

we heard your ambassador, we heard your global times, we heard your experts all the claims that you will do this and that. Still waiting for you to do something.
All we know is your lip and mouth preparations, and they are good really good.

Actually if china is willing it should wipe out all the enemy troops at sikkim.

Once done, it should totally retreat back and send arms to the rebels in all over india.

This will teach india a big lesson.

The problem here is Mountain Strike Corps will be fully operational by the end of dos month including panagarh airforce base .. so it want be that easy for china .

Second send arms to rebel Pakistan is doing that since independence they havent gain much but here china have 72 billion USD on stake. So may be a shor war on sikkim border is all the possibilities for fan boys ... else they will withdraw at the end .

I remember reading about India stand off with Pakistan in 2001. At the end India backed off and when returning lost 2000 soldiers without any war. Maybe similar fate awaits India in Dokla ka chokla
