Your wife being Kashmiri has nothing to do here, it doesn't matter if entire Kashmiri women marry a Pakistani guy if ever possible. The land that's Kashmir will never be given to any country let alone Pakistan. We'd rather die than give away a precious and strategic location to the enemy.

That's the crux of the matter. You can either take this or continue the fight for Kashmir, there's enough men in Indian army to deal with that. And we're not Israel, we're not surrounded by enemies nor the population of Muslim is very significant vis Hindu. So, a religious take over is out of the question and we're one of the largest and strongest armies in the world hence a military take over is not possible either.

India is seen as a democracy and Kashmir is largely ignored as long as we play our cards well. So far we are doing it fine. Pleasing the relevant Islamic nations with favorable trade and irrelevant ones through hard power.

Regardless of what your insignificant territory does, Pakistan has nothing to do with Uyghurs. Kashmir was part of historic IVC and they are bound to be part of Pakistan. You were not facing wars and millions of refugees and sanctions and nuclear program etc for 3 decades. Jumma jumma aath din for development in your tiny land and you already got wings of SUPA PAWA. A homogeneous tiny country like Bangladesh is super easy to develop compared to a vast and heavily diversed country like Pakistan where population is spread throughout.
