Shashi Kapoor no more, RIP

A great loss for the subcontinent.. one of the most greatest actor of our era passed away .. may he Rest In Peace

.
He produced the superb film, Vijeta, which was set in a scenario of the Indian Airforce, but this was not a war film as such. One of his sons, Kunal, was in this film. Shashi Kapoor also acted in this film.

Oh, what a shame! My favourite among the Kapoor brothers, so far removed from the all-enveloping ego of Raj, and the smell of a permanently priapic condition from Shammi. He was the brother who could switch so effortlessly from the most serious and histrionically demanding roles to the light frippery that we expect from Indian cinema of a certain vintage.

RIP.

I would like to remind members that his wife was such an effortlessly powerful an actor in her own right. It is a shame that their children never really took to Bollywood; they would have been an enormous improvement over the dumb clucks from their family who finally made it.

Well, from the only-so-much I saw from his films, he certainly was understated.

And you point about Shammi...

And yes, Raj was the grand showman type who got swayed perhaps by his international appeal.

IMDB lists her husband, her children and her father as well as herself as cast for the much spoken-about 1979 film 'Junoon', but I haven't seen the film.

Well, Ranbir Kapoor is not so bad.

I am interested to see that you have been appointed spokesman for the country. It must have been a reward for your dedication and application, and your superior number of posts, not to mention your impeccable manners.

Is your Argentinean origin accidental, or was it picked out of a box?

You should have taken a look at the Pakistani posts here before ranting. Surely he is popular across the border too. Because art knows no boundaries

A very significant chapter in cinema closes as another legend passes away. He was loved and respected on both sides of the border. A great actor and human being. He shall be missed.

Entering your tutelage is under consideration; the file has been referred to a section officer and I will get to know in due course of time.

Your construction is curious; how are my origins more accidental than yours? My origins are in India; nothing accidental about that, unless you thought that particular wording sounded very witty. Many unused to posting make that mistake; it wears off after the first two or three thousand posts, so no need to worry.

He was one the most handsome actor in olden times.RIP
