10 years passed after this CCTV special report that shocked the whole nation (old footage shown in this video), this year the reporters returned to this region and see what's it like today for the newer generation of kids, modern roads now connect every remote village and all villagers moved into free government new homes with all modern equipment and facilities, every village has top class kindergartens. primary and middle school students ride free school shuttle buses taking them to nearby township schools for better education, School facilities are superb and all expenses from tuition to food , accommodation, healthcare..are all covered by the government. A teacher has been teaching there since 10 years ago recalled the incredibly great changes happened in this region and for the kids there and how harsh the life was like barely 10 years ago.

I don't understand with the GDP second biggest and foreign reserves 30% of the whole world,we can build world's longest high speed railways,highways,subways,world's biggest ports,train stations,airports..but we still make some of our children risk their lives to just go to school,we have mllions of millionares but we can't afford to give some of our children a decent education.China now has the world's most modern and glistening metroplis,but also has this poverty stricken backwater country in our west.
