Kim is a snake in the bosom, he doesn't deserve China's sympathy. He even killed his uncle in law by having hundreds dog bites him, he is no human and very ungrateful.

Mao wanted to help them to build a true socialist state, but not a feudalist state with those hereditary craps.

The Kim family must be destroyed, but not North Korea and its ruling party.

I want to know Indians answer. As current Defence minister Parrikar visited China after Carter leave India. Shall we take it a good signal sent out by Modi government as'we are not following USA to contain China' or a way to appease China's worry.
We are the Chanakyas ... we will ensure a great balance between the powers that US and China are... just like we do with Russia and US... India diplomacy is good...or I should say great. they know how to handle international relations.

And yet we are dirt poor 70 years after independence.

If I were you, I would go easy on the bragging.

the poverty is thanks mostly to 50 years of leftist rule, it's going to change.

and I would say Indian foreign policy is impressive in how it has balanced relations with everyone, US and Russia (west and soviets earlier) and Iran and Israel/Iran and Saudia, Ukraine and Russia now etc

India is non confrontational . This has helped us to get along. But it also has meant that we were bullied badly by our smaller neighbor.

The proof of the pudding is in the EATING.

The success of our Foreign and domestic policy should be measured by the food on our table, the money in our account and opportunities for us and our children to make our life better.

Mental masturbation is easy, harsh reality is not.

End of the day, 70 years after independence, we are still struggling to provide basic drinking water, running water, sewage and toilet for the vast majority of Indians.

It is not "success" by any measure in my book.

Mere Survival is not Living.

Its worse.

We have gone to war with almost ALL our neighbours. Hardly a successful foreign policy.

I, along with millions of others sure have plenty to eat, and a nice toilet to poop it, the rest will get here some day.

true, but apart from sunni extremist expansionist Pakistan, we've done quite well in dealing with the rest of the world.

we had war with Soviet, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan. It's the price have to pay by being a big buddy, not everyone like you.

I am not interested in your personal details. Only on foreign policy success and glaring failures.

From where I stand, the failures are greater than the success.

Sure, I have never credited China with a successful foreign policy. For most parts, its has been worse than India.

War is the last resort of the incompetent. The more wars you go to , the greater incompetence your demonstrate.

End of the day, public policy should serve public need. If it does not, then its a failure. Its as simple as that.

I think you are being a bit harsh. Other than China in 1962 and of course Pak all the time and the little miniature fiasco in Sri Lanka we have not really had any wars. Sri Lanka we should have avoided but Rajiv Gandhi was not the brightest bulb.....

All countries have had wars with their neighbors at some time. Including present day Europe which fought two world wars.

you made it sound like the whole country is starving and poor, which is hardly the case.

apart from Pakistan, where else has India "failed" in any of it's foreign policy stances ?

As I said, Reality is a bit Harsh.

The sooner we recognize and realize it, the better we are for it.

We are still in the middle of a proxy war with pakistan and an unresolved border with China.

Hardly a Foreign policy success.
