So i don't understand why India will want us to leave since we don't have any conflict of interests.

Not conflict interests as of now but in future it may arise. More ever we dont want any big powers in our area.

LOL Well, to be honest we wont be leaving ever. Since Diego Garcia and the other small islands there are part of our territory recognized internationally, since its a British Indian Ocean territory like many other overseas territory we(and France) have spread around the world. So India will do well to cooperate with us than seek any confrontation which will not be beneficial to any of us.

India can live with that. You have British people living their, fine. If its empty or colonized, be it whatever, if its used to place B-52's and B-2s than thats an issue. I don't see Britian fielding that stuff and being a threat since it is no longer GREAT BRITAIN just britain with quent English accent.
