‘Seychelles committed to Indian naval base’

.
Actually Indian politicians fluent that Gandhi mantra and pursue it as well with Nehruvian twist. As for the military, and certain politicians have a more realistic approach. India is following the exact same doctrine(s) as the United States but with out a specific enemy. Monroe doctrine. Which is why Indians to some extent want the US to leave Deigo Garcia.
Also the Seychelles junta is just paranoid about the spill of warlords from Somalia.

LOL Well, to be honest the U.S and U.K wont be leaving Diego Garcia anytime soon. After all, its a British Indian ocean territory . So i don't understand why India will want us to leave since we don't have any conflict of interests.
Anyway, the lease/stay we granted the U.S expires next year(don't know if it will be renewed), so instead of a joint ownership/use of the base we might be the only one operating it after the U.S leaves(i.e if our leaders don't agree to extend their sty though).:)

great, make a nice base for anti piracy operations around the horn of Africa.

People who believe USA & UK is threat to India think out of their arse. A majority of our interests coincide, only a few do not and mostly conflicts are related to trade (taxation and subsidies regime), not economy. Indian Economy growing will inturn cause the US and & UK economies to grow/Sustain theirs, we are part of the Anglophone world, that is great leverage and advantage.

True. I agree 100%. I think only some butthurt people say that. India and U.S/U.K have common interests on many key issues and we don't have any conflict of interests as i said earlier. So why should we clash or take any hostile measures against each other? We are good partners.

By the way, randomly(off topic) where is the deal between?I haven't heard about it for a while now, seems it just disappeared. lol.

Its in Limbo as of now, I am waiting for CBI to file a closure report of "no evidence of wrong doing". As far as I know the last party in power, (Congress) was trying to get kickbacks. but someone blew the lid off before anything could actually happen.

As of now the Government's intent is to get some tech and the choppers as well, so it will fall through.. eventually... as things are here. don't expect it soon... may be 6-8 months or so..

Loool when I read this, couldn't stop laughing. After all this just shows Indians are eternal slaves.

India is still just a British slave, we all know that... Speaks English in all government departments. Legal system is fully British. Still 90% of everything they do is British stuff. Where is your 20,00000000000 year history lol. You don't even speak your own language.

I can imagine Mike laughing lol. We made them our slaves, put our language, put our legal system, made them play cricket and they get independence.... But their still out slaves.

Slave of Turks for 1000 years, British for 200. Embarrassing history lol.

Post reported

Speaking English keeps us united and to your fact, every state has the right to exercise and maintain govt records in their own language. India is a diverse country and you cannot expect to function in unanimity speaking 22 languages in parliament.

India has 23 constitutionally recognized official languages. Hindi and English are the official languages used by the Central Government. State governments use respective official languages. Being an official language It has its benefits from Learning to integrating globally and I am all for that. British Colonial Rule with all its flaws did give us system, it works as of now, don't fix whats not broken.

We don't speak Turkic either, Barbarians were never appreciated in this land. You see that's very high of someone whose country Hides behind Western Alliance after pissing off the bear. Those Turks were genocidal Nazis who kill millions upon millions of Indians, broke our temples. Who destroyed the systems we had, thanks to your criminal murderous pillaging, raping, raiding ancestors. Its very rare that when a peaceful societies collide with the Barbarians that the civilized wins and savage looses, its usually the barbarians who win.

And that slave thing that too from the country of Ata Turk, who shamelessly copied Europeans. What happened to the Great Ottoaman heritage, did it all drown in the blood of Armenians ??

Wow, thought so, military deals often have many back deals involved anyway. So no surprise there. Hopefully they sort things out sooner than later then.

Lol what are you on about bro? o_O
You are wrong. Can you tell me one major issue/security field in which we have divergent/conflicting interests with India? How is India a security threat to the U.K? So no point in being hostile/enemies:big_boss:

India never in history even forced diplomatically or considered Deigo Garcia as militaristic threat to South India.

Neither US, UK forces considered India as threat to them.

You gotta respect the conquerors pal. You see this us why India will be regarded as slaves.

You say we were barbarians and then you go and love off the British lol. They starved millions of your people.

How can you speak the language of a nation that killed millions of your people? Especially as official language.

Sounds absurd for European Island Nation to have territory in the "Indian" Ocean and stuff like this is why OBL justified attacks on 9/11. I think British or UN base may be alright as long as the Americans leave. For a country like India, with Nehrus vision on multi polar world, a big power like Amerikaa needs to stay in The Americas.

Coincide for now because the COLD WAR is over. America needs India as vis versa but if the chips are down, America is India's perhaps "BEST" friend but not an ALLY.
INDIAN UNION is an alliance onto itself hence the movement for non alignment. <-doesn't make sense unless you think of India as European Union with a centralized military. Rule of thumb on the playground, only trust some as far as you can throw them. Which is why America TRUSTS india so much and is NOT reciprocated on the same level.

Its not butthurt. Its reality. NATO are NORTH ATLANTIC alliance FIGHTS wars in ASIA. WHY? Thats scary to the other little big players. Interest may coincide for now because a war on terror and global vision on trade but when you play region politics like US in Asia, it usually ends up with bad results.
For instance, how does aiding Pakistan benefited the region? Keeping India out of Afghan-talks?
Interest didn't conside earlier i'm suprised theres any difference since India's independence.
The difference is in India sharing it's strategic vision with US. The US either has found a change in India's strategic policy or support the old one.
likly, India during the 90's changed its strategic vision.

Are retarded?
India has 10% english speakers. Rest speak Indian.
India is not british slave. Infact proven Pakistan is (was) British/American proxy state. When the British conquered India, did they fight any Turks or even Mughals on their way their?
FACT the individual STATES were in power. The mughals existed as empty family of nawabs.
The BRITISH Indian army consisted of 30% Punjabi Muslim and other Muslims SIKHS and Gurkhas.
The British used minorities to rule the majority. Divide and conquer. Infact the Mughals used the same recipe as well as many other empires. So when Partition happened the RICH muslims left India speaking Urdu landing it Pakistan where they still have undeserved wealth to this DAY. Hence why in Pakistan you have the land reform issue.
Good job.

India should regard the British monarch as their empress. Just like Empress Victoria, the first empress of India.
