http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...gDm5sgPRCC1zxAoWQ&sig2=yxll01vA6TPzBCSVsuisHQPORT MOODY – While many people may be glad that bad apples from the criminal world are being sliced and diced and put out of their misery with rapid-fire of guns by hired hit-men – some in the Indo-Canadian community have criticized the police for allowing the serial murder of Indo-Canadian gangsters by doing nothing and waiting to get calls to collect dead bodies.
Randynesh Raman Naicker is just the latest in a number of high profile local murders, including that of gangster kingpins Ranjit “Ranj” Cheema, who was killed in a hail of bullets in front of his Vancouver home and gang leader Sandip Duhre, who was gunned down while he sat in a downtown restaurant in January.
And just a few weeks ago – another lower rung Indo-Canadian gangster Gurbinder Singh Toor was shot outside the Port Moody Recreational Centre and died shortly after in hospital.
Naicker was the intended target in a previous shooting outside his halfway house last year. But instead another Indo-Canadian gangster Raj Soomel was gunned down.
The murders seem to be stemming from the killing of one of the notorious Bacon brothers who at the time was with some high profile Hells Angels but police have tried to make a gang war over turf control. But with all their gang resources – they should be focusing on hired hit-men who actually do the dirty work for gang bosses.
Despite a number of witnesses, Const. Lindsey Houghton said Vancouver Police have no information on the shooter.
“They’ll take the opportunity if it’s presented to them. We’ve seen that with the Toor shooting, we saw with the Naicker shooting — they don’t care who’s around,” Houghton said.
While the gangsters may not care – but police should care who’s around and who can get hurt or killed.
If such brazen broad-daylight shootings continue – some innocent people are bound to get hurt or killed as was the case in the recent shooting death of a gangster and injuring of an innocent patron at an outside patio, where police arrested a Vancouver man for the hit-murder.
According to reports – Police had warned Naicker he should get out of town, just days before his murder on Monday.
Naicker — a convicted criminal who’d just completed his parole in May — had been trying to turn over a new leaf, his friends claim, and ignored the warning, in part because of unrequited love for the proverbial girl next door, reported 24 Hours newspaper.
“He didn’t want to leave here because this was his home, where his family was … and there was the girl he loved,” said one friend, who asked for anonymity for fear of being connected to Naicker.
Police said they often warn gangsters of imminent threats.
“When we receive credible information a person is in some kind of danger, we let them know; it’s called a duty to warn,” said Sgt. Bill Whalen, with B.C.’s organized crime unit. “We don’t provide details but we let them know, ‘your life is in danger.’
“Needless to say, they often don’t do anything about it.”
Naicker, reportedly a co-founder of the Independent Soldiers gang, was convicted in 2006 for the kidnapping, confinement and extortion of a criminal associate linked to a previous double homicide and $400,000 drug theft.
Two of Naicker’s friends told 24 hours the 34-year-old Burnaby resident had been trying to start fresh after completing his parole May 26 — but his past caught up with him, with two masked men taking him down Monday afternoon in a parking lot in what police labelled a gang-related target hit.
“I could see how he wanted to change and become an honest person,” his friend said. “He wanted a family. He had a very deep love interest but he couldn’t have her because he’d messed up in the past.
“But he wanted to show her he’d changed.”
Witnesses told CTV News they heard between eight and 10 shots fired, then saw Naicker fall to the ground before the suspect jumped into a getaway vehicle with another man and sped away from the area. Police located what appeared to be the murder weapon shortly after in an alley half a block away.
Vancouver homicide investigators were called in to handle the case, under an agreement with the Port Moody Police Department, and are still working to piece together suspect and vehicle descriptions.
The shooting marks Port Moody’s second gang killing in the past month. Alleged Dhak/Duhre group gang member Gurbinder Singh Toor, 35, was shot outside the Port Moody Recreational Centre on May 31 around 9:30 p.m. According to witness reports, about 10 shots were heard and a dark SUV was seen driving away. Investigators will be looking into possible links to the May 31 shooting, which is also being investigated by the VPD homicide squad.
Anyone with information on either murder is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Our great nation— India was freed on 15th August 1947 after 190 years of fight against British tyranny, beginning from the battle of Plassey in July 1757 between Nawab Siraj-ud Daulah and East India Company. Year 1857 has been the hallmark of Indian’s ‘unity in diversity’ culture when all Indians with their religious, linguistic and cultural identities launched the ‘first united war for freedom of India’ under the last Mogul king Bahadur Shah Zafar. In the building of modern India every community and every caste has equally offered their share— thus India is for all Indians.
On 26th November 1949 India adopted the new constitution, framed by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, which two months later on 26th January 1950 was enforced assuring all the citizens equality, justice and security. Similarly the leaders of our freedom struggle like Mahatma Gandhi, Maulana Mahmoodul Hasan and their devote companions had dreamt of an India where men and women would be judged not on the class, creed or religions they belong to but on the content of their character and merit they personally possess. But the scene in the post- independent India portrays a dismal condition all-around-- prejudice, injustice, corruption, insecurity and lawlessness swirling all over India’s social, political, bureaucratic and law enforcing sectors endangering the very foundations of the Indian state.
No doubt, India is one of the fastest developing countries in the world. And we Indians do like the "Incredible India," slogan-- as global ad campaign by the government of Indian. On the contrary, a government of India report reads and acknowledges that Muslims in India have become "backward." "Fearing for their security," the report said, "Muslims are increasingly resorting to living in ghettos around the country." Branding of Muslims as anti-national, intolerant and terrorists "has a depressing effect on their psyche," the report said, noting Muslims live in "a sense of despair and suspicion."
According to the report, produced by a committee led by a former chief justice of our country, Rajender Sachar, Muslims are now worse off than the Dalits, or those once called untouchables by the Brahmins. Some 52% of Muslim men are unemployed, compared with 47% of Dalit men. Among Muslim women, 91% are unemployed, compared with 77% of Dalit women. Almost half of Muslims over the age of 46 can’t read or write. While making up nearly 14% of the total population of the country, Muslims account for40% of India's prison population . They hold only 4.9 percent of government jobs and only 3.2 percent of the jobs in the country's security agencies, thus creating a new set of ‘untouchable Indians’ in the modern democratic republic of India.
Indian Muslims' ability to feel physically and emotionally safe; and their equal progress with other mainstream society is a test of the country's democracy and of its hopes for becoming a First World economic power. A body cannot find relief leaving one of its sides squeezing in pain. Similarly our country cannot taste the progress leaving one of her wings— Muslims lagging behind. Though India's nearly 150 million Muslims are a minority at home, they represent the second-largest Muslim population in the world, behind Indonesia (190 million) and just ahead of Pakistan (about 140 million). The numbers of Muslims in India is larger than the entire population of Arab Muslims (about 140 million).]
