Seven BLF Terrorists Killed by CTD in Loralai District of Balochistan

. .
Operations like these need to happen on a wider scale, terrorists need to caught by surprise at every step they take. This can only happen with better surveillance and intelligence.
However I cannot stress enough the need for MRAPs and armored vehicles, even in this operation, a Levies vehicle came under fire, there's an image of it all shot up, and blood of the soldier(s) can be seen.
Furthermore, all IBOs need to be conducted with an UCAV flying above the operation zone at all time in case things go wrong.

. .
The problem is we are allowing them to come inside Pakistan via Afghanistan. So every terrorist related kill is the responsibility of the higherups who have not closed our borders and still allowing Afghans to come in.

They are already in Pakistan since months and years.

Point being they must have come in Pakistan at some point. Why cant we just stop cross border movement at all still things settle down? We have no obligation to facilitate Afghans at the cost of our own lives.

We need 24/7 drones surveillance over the DL to monitor fencing, also we should place radars and sensors for monitoring activities around the western border

Finally some good news... why can't army/Intelligence/CTD/FC can't keep up like this ? more operations like these and quick response to ambushes can not just save lives but also get escaping Terrorists as well, but this was a good catch indeed, bravoooooo

If you are talking of current influx of refugees and traders, then I cant comment. PTI and IK have policies which are beyond me.

However, during start of Ops in FATA, more than a decade ago, these terrorists and insurgents have been travelling between KPK, Baluchistan and sometimes Sindh, even venturing into Punjab. They would run from KPK and hide in Baluchistan. The power monopoly of Chaudhary system in villages of Punjab and the Wadera system in Sindh has been brought down to a large extent, however such system still exists in Baluchistan. Some of these sardars or nawabs (whatever they may be called) hold areas where they are all in all of the areas and yes, some of them could be sympathetic to separate Baluchistan cause. Some of them could give safe havens to terrorists.

BLA or BLF are not the only ones operating there. Baluchistan is a massive province and its under developed. Back in 2003/4, the surveillance systems were next to zero. At that time forces were entering into Wana and South Waziristan. The southern blockade in KPK was conducted by forces in Quetta, still the terrorists kept grouping in other cities. While the initial focus was on TTP and its related outfits in FATA, a keen surveillance was kept on Baluchistan which enabled capture of Indian spy Yadav. He was not captured in his initial groundwork. Surveillance was kept on him for a long time and then he was apprehended during some act. This was in 2016, while FATA Ops had started in 2003/4. It was more than a decade later. Its not difficult to see that terrorist network in Baluchistan would have grown stronger while 2-3 Corps HQ of Army, multiple squadrons of PAF and EW assets of PN were concentrated in KPK. In border fencing, KPK was given preference and Baluchistan came later.

KPK Ops enabled some terrorist cells to retreat and regroup in Afghanistan, while others remained in different cities of Pakistan. As an example, the public of Swat was initially hospitable towards Taliban till Pakistan Army took over.

Even a kid knows that any form of guerilla warfare cannot survive without help of locals. Who is harboring and providing safe havens to BLA, BLF etc in Baluchistan ? You can see the recent Taliban advance was rapid in those areas where local population was sympathetic to their cause or didn't offer resistance. Its just not the caves or mountains or tunnels where these BLA/BLF terrorists hide, they are given refuge by ant-state elements sympathetic to their cause.

Pakistan's core issue is - Extremism. This is the first step that leads towards picking weapon, joining any outfit and creating trouble against LEAs and Military. Lack of trust in Pakistan's judicial system is another issue. All these are amalgated in 5th gen warfare and thats what Pakistan is facing.

An average Afghan is anti-Pakistan. He trades with Pakistan. His family has ties within Pakistan. He earns money from Pakistan even if thats through smuggling. Yet his heart creates resentment against Pakistan. What's the solution ?
Kill him ? Let him die at the border ?
Don't let him enter Pakistan coz at some stage he will damage Pakistan ?

CTD is just Baluchistan Police.

CTD is just Baluchistan Police.

Which makes it even better, I wish they keep up the good work, lots of our soldiers died this year , we need to come up with solution for ambush and IED attacks to minimize the casualties.

Good riddance. I hope we send their compatriots there as well.
For India, The Taliban's dramatic uprising over the last 2 years, has increased the value of Iran proxies against Pakistan by many folds. The setback due to the dismantling of Kulbhushan Yadev and his hirees is not that severe anymore.
Completion of CPEC against all odds, fencing of almost entire Afghan border along with the fencing of Iran border means that the attacks in Pakistan especially in Balochistan will increase. If we stick to our resolve, conduct more IBO like these along with the persistent push to fencing the border with Iran will eventually lead to better conditions and an improved law and order situation. Improving the intelligence agencies along with a border management system is our Achilles heel.

@Foxtrot Alpha @PanzerKiel Are there Baluch terrorist hideouts in Iran or they use Afghanistan as their base now a days?
