Serum has no right to halt vaccine supply as payment made in advance: Papon

No we will screw you ,like Pakistan did always. Just wait few more years. treacherous deserve only screwing, not sue.

You see your traditional enemy Pakistan offered you help?

Do you have any idea that you are creating a new monstrous enemy ( in Eastern border) who perfectly screwed your akhanda bharat in 1947.

Don't forget that sheikh Mujib was an active young leader that time.

Now his daughter is in power. Don't show your dirty face over and over again.

All BD nationalists should celebrate Modi not giving the promised vaccines to BD.

This has meant that BD will get the excellent Sputnik vaccine in millions of doses from Russia directly and also set up its own production in BD as well.

Also, potentially even better, there will be no roadblocks in full BD government support to the homegrown BD vaccine anymore. Indian cannot pressure the AL anymore in any way as it cannot even give the vaccines that were promised to BD.

Lol, why is it even coming as a surprise? Dhotis have repeatedly showed it's not in their nature to honor the contracts.

The blame definitely goes to our own policy makers. Why would you depend on such an unreliable supplier for these crucial vaccines in the first place?

lungis can take their money back .

Everyone here was against this. There you go 50 million usd down the drain
Suck more Indian cocks. This is the spank shot you deserve

Well BD got at least 12 million doses and 3.2 million of those were given for free by India.

It was not all bad as this was the only way to get the AstraZeneca vaccine and it is not known whether BD companies were ready to be able to produce this vaccine on time.

We got only 7 million of the total ordered. It’s mentioned somewhere up here in the article

That cannot be correct as BD has already given out 7,954,176 jabs as per real-time vaccine tracker:

BD is jabbing around 150,000 people a day and has around 2 weeks supply left from everywhere I have read.

Millions of doses of Sputnik will be coming in weeks and so the vaccine programme is not coming to a halt. The only issue would be getting more supplies of AstraZeneca as the 2nd dose ideally needs to be given at 12 weeks.

The Serum Institute of India has no right to halt the supply of vaccines of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) as Bangladesh has paid in advance for the vaccines, said Beximco Pharmaceuticals managing director Nazmul Hassan alias Papon on Saturday.

He was speaking to newsmen after taking the second dose of the vaccine of the highly infectious disease at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital.

Nazmul said money has been paid in advance for 15 million doses of the vaccine. So far, seven million doses have been received. The Serum Institute is yet to deliver another eight million doses of the vaccine. The government should speak up strongly for the vaccine.

Beximco Pharmaceuticals has been acting as an agent to bring the vaccines from the Serum Institute of India.

“It’s totally unacceptable for Serum not to send the vaccines as the government has paid in advance. The government must firmly say that the vaccines have to be provided as advance payment has be made. We have paid for 15 million doses of vaccine. Serum has no right to halt the supply,” the Beximco Pharmaceuticals MD said.

Nazmul also said the time has come to consider whether India is a actually a friend of Bangladesh. Sweet talk won’t work. The vaccines must be delivered, he added.

Recently, Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla said they will not be able to export Covid-19 vaccines before June-July.

India dont give shit lol.

Hasina can now kneel and **** china to get some vaccine. I doubt it will work though. eight months ago china offered...said no. BD origin company globe biotech wanted to do trial ***** said no. now whinning about this.

Now wait till indian varient spread to bd since hasina too afraid to close indian border. In BC, vancouver we already have indian varient which mean BD which is so close to india its already spreading.
Do not be upset as it is showing the real nature of India to you. They want to become super power and global leader, but they completely lack the quality.

And that's why India will remain foot soldiers to super powers always, but neither can be super power nor can be economically developed like them.

Amateurs can't be taught professional ethics so soon, and India is actually amateur in this area.

Ultra nationalism is such garbage that will always let you down and day by day you will sink into oblivion.

Off topic :This type of policy is adopted by chetona bahini of Bangladesh, and as a result they will be sunk in oblivion in Bangladesh soon.

modi should return bangalis their money , whatever vaccine have already been given should be given as donation.

I really don't get it why Bangladesh sucks so much to India. Indian leaders call them terminates, rodents which need to be thrown in Indian ocean. Have Bangladeshi leaders any shame.

Go Sue us.
Nah I will rather eat popcorn and enjoy your citizens cry for oxygen. More entertaining. In a positive side effects less toilet you have to build after covid since so many are dying.

As regards China they have offered BD 600,000 as a gift but they cannot supply anymore till December this year due to supply.

Wow!! 'China cannot give us more than 600K because they have production constraints' is ok but India which is producing many times more than chaina and is in more under production pressure is not understandable.

Yeah...Sputnik's biggest production facility is also coming up in India only and since last week GOI gave approval to Sputnik.....

We wouldn't have stopped if we ourselves weren't in a tight spot here. Our government and SII was committed to give the vaccines in time as they were giving but we weren't prepared for such an outbreak. We aren't America to hoard vaccines and not give them to neighbours.

maybe we should've. But our vaccines took more time to develop.

I think India now for some time needs to look after its own interests and take care of its own citizens first. No need to be too much of a 'Vishwaguru'.
