Why are Secularism and traitor two words that are linked together by Islamists. Secularism may be the best solution to save Pakistan from ruination. Secularism is not a threat. The Islamists are indeed a threat to the security of Pakistan. They are the ones blowing things up, not the secularists.

Because socalled Islamists are nutts themselves. They have forgotten the even very basic teaching of Islam. the best arguments against these retards are just a fine bullet nothing else..

The change which Imran wanted he is not being able to bring in this corrupt system the whole system is corrupt nothing could change in this system we would go for a revolution it would take time and may be blood but that is the only way

This Najam Sethi is a big hypocrite. He's not a secularist. We saw how secular he was when he was chief minister, taking money from the corrupt ganja shareef.

That's the thing, secularism or something of that manner will benefit the country. The deal with us and Pakistan is that there is nothing Islamic about the government of the 'Islamic Republic' and Islam is being used as a tool for people to reach their own ends (Fazal-ur-Rahman for example)

If secularism really is a sin and evil as some people say it is, then it is certainly a lesser evil than using Islam as a tool for political leverage.

Islam is a part of our identity,it will always be like that, but does that mean Islam should be abused by people in power?

Mr Islam is a complete system Mr secularism is kufr and ALLAH in Quran calls those people kafirs who don't decide according to what ALLAH has revealed Sir

what will happen after revolution? what kind of government will you bring in? what is the structure. Also how will you maintain relation with other countries.

Hi,

Actually---there is nothing 'islamic' about the people of pakistan---. Their God is not the God of prophet Mohammad---their prophet is not "the" prophet Mohammad----their practises are not of islam---.

Who do they worship and to whom do they pray to---is different on what is on the surface and what is in their hearts.

He was the caretaker chief minister of Punjab during last elections, he did nothing to stop the ahmadi hate jalsa, speeches etc even when he was notified of them. In other words, when the cameras are rolling he becomes a courageous champion of secularism but when it comes to practical measures he's just like the others. Only Salman Taseer Shaheed was true to his words. May Allah forgive him.

Zarvan I totally understand your point and I believe it would be better if Pakistan and the people follow what Islam has recommended to us but in a society like ours you can't expect for it to happen so easily.

Take this as an example, if the literacy rate corresponds to people who can read and write in the Perso-Arabic script, then the illiterate most likely won't be able to read the Quran. If that analogy is true then Islam in Pakistan is in a really sad state.

And that state is even worse in governance and the ulema where people abuse Islam as political leverage and in the process make a mockery of it.

So in the end my point being would be this: which one is better? Make a mockery of Islamic fiqh by usiing it for personal gain or to stop that by shifting towards a secular form of governance?
