Ehehehe...now you are trolling, what is your position, if any, for us to reach? :)

The solution I gave is quite prevalent in the world, many bigger countries do take the responsibility of the defences of friendly smaller neighbours. Barring that 271 km border with Myanmar, Bangladesh cannot be touched without going through India, and your seas are also protected through our naval bases in mainland and Andamans, so we are already a de facto protectorate of Bangladesh. So let's make it official, cut down your defence budgets, and live happily ever after. :)

Land boundaries:
total: 4,413 km
border countries: Myanmar 271 km, India 4,142 km

India and Bangladesh share very friendly relations, we have no border disputes etc. Unfortunately we do not share such good friendship with China or Pakistan. And Bangladesh sadly doesn't have the capacity to become our protector against our powerful enemies, so you see....:)

Please don't troll, we go to the rivers flowing into Bangladesh to supply you good manure for free. See, we are a friendly nation. :)

De facto protectorate? Why not cut all your military expenditures and let China protect you guys. They are building so called string of pearls... China is much bigger than India... Got more of everything... Let them protect you guys then... These are all typical meaningless bullshit we should stop arguing about. Bangladesh is a sovereign country and can spend and do whatever it wishes to to defend itself. India should see Bangladesh as their regional partner then their foe or little neighbor whom they can capture anytime. This kind of views will surely push it towards China. Something you guys can do without.

Your proposal can be considered if ever our country decides to shed some of its land voluntarily, but right now we are in no such mood. However, we can keep your proposal safely preserved for such a situation in future, and continue our discussion on the current situation. We can provide much better security to Bangladesh and let her spend the defence budget on other useful things. :)
India shedding lands? Over my dead body! XD I see bangladesh's Hasina pulling that kind of shit.

Already explained! :)

We don't even think about something that sinister, it's blasphemy for us to belittle our friendly little neighbours. We are a benign nation. :)

It's not happening, so no point of discussing that. :)

---------------------------------------------------
I just gave a proposal that is in line with the geopolitical realities, and beneficial for Bangladesh in every possible way. Since Bangladeshis are refusing to think it through, I am postponing the proposal, for now! It's a loss for Bangladesh! :)

That doesn't depend on your mood rather on the mood of your colonial masters. The current situation is West Bengal's volatile condition and its diminishing value as a colony, so your government should take a swift decision to seek Bangladesh's suzerainty. :)

No point of discussing it further guys, the proposal stands withdrawn, it was an one time opportunity for Bangladesh, and now it's gone...sorrrry!! :)

I gave the proposal thinking that Bangladesh can use the money spent uselessly on defence in some good work of human development, like improving the quality of education. See, here we have an English speaking Bangladeshi, apparently educated, but doesn't yet know that we, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh got rid of colonial rule back in 1947, now we Indians are the owners and drivers of our country and her future, the age of colonial rule is over (not sure about Bangladesh though). Bangladesh really needs to improve the quality of education. :)

.
woowwww..!!! that's too much... congratz BD...!! :D

But we won't follow your way by raising defense budget as rivalry.. we're investing in R&D more and more for self-reliance.. it will give us reduction in defense budget with better quality... more than 4000 (MSc, PhD and DSc) Myanmar experts in academic filed have graduated from various Russian universities. Around 2000 Myanmar students are currently studying in Russia including over 100 PhD and D.Sc candidates , Thousands of Msc in various fields.. we are sending around 500 officers to Russia as scholars.. we already invested around 100M USD for these.. but it has more advantage than 1 B USD importing arms..

we got 3 officers who got their doctorate (Doctor of Science , D.Sc) form Russian Famous Universities like MAI for this year...

Maj Ye Zaw Htwe : Doctor of Chemical Science MUCTR(D.I Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia)

Maj Tin Phone Kyaw : Doctor of Technical Science :MAI( Moscow Aviation Institute)

Maj Hein Win Zaw : Doctor of Design Construction & Manufacture of Aircraft : MATI(Russian State University of Aviation Technology)

hope they will be a great pillar for both DI and technology of country...

BTW :i already said we wont send our officers to BD just for English learning class.. there will be hidden cards behind this... :P See , we can got higher education form Russia as we like...

What is this new rivalry... Fits your size. Myanmar Vs Bangladesh? Oh shot... Now this whole crop starts. China supports Myanmar India supports Bangladesh?... Too exhausted for this for now guys chill the faaa up

.
Ok. Now what about concentrating on my proposal on the topic? :)

What @UKBengali thinks about it?

Another one of your hair-brained ideas here:lol:

BD economy is set to hit 1 trillion US dollars by 2030, with a defence budget of around 20 billion US dollars.

By 2030, BD will have the money and also access to affordable cutting-edge weapons systems from all other the world like China, Turkey, South Korea and Russia. In addition, it is steadily building up it's own defence industry although we are looking at mid-century before this truly matures.

A country of 150+ million people can well and truly take care of it's own defence.

Well. Thank you for the concern. But we don't want to concern India our neighbor witht our security. We will buy whatever shit we are buying. Plus... This can come in handy in case you guys get attacked by Pakistan. We will be delighted to return the favor of 1971

Stop kidding before starting to advising. When did India get rid of Firingi colonials? Why is IA Staff College called Wellington and not Tipu Sultan? How come there has never been a land reform except in WB, TN and Kerala? How come stooges of Firingis continue to hold on to their property and power? Why do you still celebrate Hodson, Skinner, Lawrence, Nicholson and others who shot our forbears like dogs in the street? Why do IA regiments still pride themselves in the history where they had massacred their compatriots? Of all nations in SA, we in BD have really become free, although India is advancing gradually and with stealth to take away that freedom.

@Rain Man
In another thread where I have been barred from posting, you inquired about Mohajir Sangha. Susanto Shaha is the coordinator appointed by RAW for all nefarious activities against BD hatched at the Sunny Villa, Bhabanipur, Kolkata. Involving mostly Nomo Shudro / low cast refugees from BD late Chitto Sutar, one time MLA of BAL, was commissioned by RAW to establish Bongobhumi. After his death his drug addict son, Babul Sutar could not take over. Instead the head of the armed wing, Kalidas Baidyo now heads the organization. To augment them, Susanto has created another organization called Mohajir Sangha. A Muslim rickshaw puller,Raisuddin, originally from Jessore, has been appointed the President of this organization. Both are operated by RAW through Sunny Villa.

West Bengal should look up to Bangladesh, though, it will take decades or even centuries for you to reach up to our current position.

LOL have you even looked at the per capita income of West Bengal compared to Bangladesh?

At first protect yourselves from few rag-tag militia who kill indian like fleas.Have you forgot the Mumbai massacre in 2008? Only 10 terrorist made india look like a beaten dog.

Coming from a country that got 3 million of its civilians butchered in cold blood and then decided it was fine with letting 200 or so culprit officers go because it wanted "recognition" and "closure" from the higher ups of these butchers.

And you are lecturing us on who the beaten dog is. LOL.

don't know about WB, but according to latest report, average per capita income of Dhaka is $8400 USD

Link please (Its almost guaranteed a PPP figure, which is fine...but then we must compare similar PPP in WB too...and we have to take into account we are talking WB and not Kolkata....either we compare Dhaka and Kolkata or their larger regions which include smaller cities, towns and rural areas ..i,.e WB and Bangladesh).

Overall Bangladesh is about 10 years behind Indian average in PPP consumption per person. West Bengal is give or take at the Indian average.

Yes, I have! Our per capita income is higher than West Bengal, now don't start another essay containing weird economic theories because we are not talking about the economy only, go through the previous posts to understand the context. :)
