I will ignore the 'meaningless trolling part' for the sake of a healthy discussion, in my proposal internal security of Bangladesh will remain with its government, just check my previous post. The solution I gave is quite prevalent in the world, many bigger countries do take the responsibility of the defences of friendly smaller neighbours. Barring that 271 km border with Myanmar, Bangladesh cannot be touched without going through India, and your seas are also protected through our naval bases in mainland and Andamans, so we are already a de facto protectorate of Bangladesh. So let's make it official, cut down your defence budgets, and live happily ever after.

That was a terrorist attack, few a**holes with guns can kill unsuspecting civilians in a sudden attack, such unfortunate incidents are happening everywhere, even in first world countries, but terrorists don't pose serious existential threat to a powerful nation. Military defence is different, it is there to protect against serious existential threats from foreign armies. And if Bangladesh becomes our protectorate state, then we will only handle its defence, the military protection against foreign invasion, internal security will remain with Bangladesh.

We want peace so dont bother about unstable country like MM and hope they may get on track. If Bangladesh's weapons are against India, then it's an even bigger waste, we are not attacking Bangladesh for the sheer futility of such an exercise, and Bangladesh can't dare, and for what?
