And this doesn't take into account any of the agricultural output of Punjab and numerous cottage industries all over the Province because they're not companies and hence SECP doesn't account for them !

Additionally the FBR's provisional report of 2011/12 says that only 37% of the Taxes collected are Income Taxes the rest are Sales Tax or Duties both which would depend on consumption for the first and imports for the second ! 44% of all Taxes was Sales Tax naturally the Sales Tax is intrinsically linked with 'Population' and no you don't need to fill in a form for it because its a Value-Added Tax which means when you go out and buy a 500ml Pepsi bottle you've essentially paid the Sales Tax and guess which province has the highest Population ?

Additionally 19% of all Taxes collected are Duties whether they are Excise or Custom duties. Now 35 % of these Duties are Federal Excise Duties on Sale of Goods and it is imposed in a similar manner to the Sales Tax hence its again intrinsically linked to consumption and being an indirect tax its recoverable by the supplier not the Govt. So more population equals more consumption equals more FED Domestic + on Imports ! The other portions of these Duties are Custom duties which are the remaining 65% which are by their very nature of being a 'Custom Duty' is collected at Karachi because thats where our imports come from; incidentally a Custom duty constitutes an indirect tax on imports of anything from Dr.Pepper to the Capital Investments for the Mills in Punjab . And so it is dependent on both consumption and industrialization and with Punjab boasting the population that we do and the companies that we do (throw in Islamabad and the figure rises to 61% of Pakistan's Companies) we'd be earning a lion's share of the Custom duty revenue too ! and whats the problem here? he called from lahore islo or even miranshah ? its must for every human to use word where he live or born? i was born in bhawalpur but lived only 8 days in bhawalpur in life i spend my childhood in small twon near multan lived 1 year in multan spend 12 years in gulf and when someone ask me wheer you from i say pakistan and if someone ask more i say multan thats it no body then start angry on me or ask me why the hell you live only one year in multan . i answer because it famous place so they know it .no one notice these things but only politically brainwashed .
