Saudi Arabia's special relationship with Pakistan may be on borrowed time

Indias best friend is Israel.
Israel is served by saudi an Emirati's

Not only do the two countries share a long land border, but around 20 percent of Pakistan’s population is Shia, the majority denomination of Iran, and there have been some very prominent Pakistani Shia politicians, including the country’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Quaid was a Shia? This article contains some inaccuracies.

Sir ji with all due respects, why does this thing always matter to us. Many days he was a Shia Muslim, many say he was Ismaili Muslim and many say he was Sunni Muslim. But why does it matter. May his soul rest in peace inshallah.

This was bound to happen after Pakistan refused to be part of the Saudi genocide of the Yemenese people. I do remember the Saudis saying "there will be consequences for Pakistan". Well, here they are now.

WHATEVER becomes of Pakistan and Pakistanis, one thing we should NEVER EVER become are mass murderers and genocidal maniacs like other people and nations have unfortunately become.

Yup, why should pakistan take the curse of innocent mothers and hungry kids of Yemen many of whom may had once thought of Pakistan as some guardian of Muslims. Why should pakistan break that trust right before massacring them. Let Saudis and Emirati and Irani regimes get the curse on themselves in their destruction of muslim world. We all will be responsible for our deeds in the day of judgement.

That was the best decisions of Nawaz sharif and parliament.

For all our faults as Pakistanis and I know there are many, one thing we must give credit for is that we Pakistanis do not have genocidal or murderous tendencies like other peoples and communities do. We are buy and large very humane, charitable, hospitable and nice people. As a race of people, I hope we Pakistsnis never lose those qualities. I commend the Pakistani Military for refusing to be part of the Saudi genocidal war against Yemen. I could not care less what becomes of our relationship with the Saudis as long as we do not become mass murderers like them. A huge punishment, deliberation and day of reckoning awaits those people and nations who engage in the mass slaughter of innocents.

He was born Ismaili (shia)... Not sure about his belief system later on in life...

Sometimes you have to rip off the BandAid, it is painful but helps you heal faster

There are three blocks forming in the "muslim world". There is the USA/Israel led block, that has Saudia Arabia and UAE and Egypt, etc inside it.

There is the muslim block that consists of Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Pakistan(+/1 some others).

Then, there is the countries destroyed by the USA/Israel block, like Yemen, Syria, Iraq, etc ...

I do think we have formally reached the point where Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar and Iran should formally leave the OIC and consign it to the dust bin of history as it is no longer the vehicle to co-ordinate and articulate muslim affairs across the world.

It is time for people to recognise reality ...

Yes, he was from a Bohri Shia family.

then why SMQ take risk so much for a useless summit ? i am still failed to understand . even a declaration signed by all OIC head of states to india it will not stop indian gov to kill kashmiris for 3 days .

What SMQ did is with GHQ and top level government approval. Their will be more shockwaves coming in the next months. Pakistan has realized the folly of what it did with Malaysia and trying to fix that and bring about another block. They’ve realized that it’s now needed more than never, and some of the promises made for skipping was a fake by KSA & Co.

I will say this much taking Saudi money has created more problems for Pakistan than it did good in the long run. The route the Saudis are taking themselves isn’t where Pakistan wants to go at all, and if it comes down to it their is a firm concession among top ranks including the military to not defend the Saudis and leave them to their fate.
