Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted on Monday a ballistic missile fire by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the Kingdom.
Saudi-led Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the missile was fired at the Jizan region.
He condemned the attack, saying that it demonstrates “Iran’s ongoing support to the terrorist Houthi militias with sophisticated weapons in clear violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2231.”
The interception of Monday’s missile brings to 186 the number of rockets that have been fired by the Houthis at the Kingdom.
