What's new

'Sanskrit must be janbhasha; it's not a language of Brahmins alone' October

Pointless. Sanskrit's decline is beyond repair. And the reason is the puritanical approach of it's speakers. Languages like english (and now hindi) prospered specifically BECAUSE they let themselves become a mess by letting words from other languages come in. These kinds of initiatives are at best misguided and, at worst, political ploys.

And we have a winner.

Besides, i am too lazy to learn Sanskrit now, come at me haters!

Besides, Sanskrit is a language of the seekers of knowledge. Knowledge is learned, not imposed
Y u so anti-Brahmin?

Well when we have Brahmins are the new untouchables, and then bashing the Dalits for reservations, I can think of a few reasons
Why do people not think of the political consequences of the imposition of Sanskrit?

Do they live cossetted lives?
