What's new

Saigon targets nearly $10,000 per capita income by 2020

Why is this something to be proud of? Phillip Rosler, or whatever he likes to call himself, overall doesn't identity as Vietnamese, and neither should you.

He was adopted by German parents when he was 9 months. So he can't read write speak or understand Vietnamese, his mindset is completely White / German, he has no knowledge or understanding of any Vietnamese culture. He is not familiar with Vietnamese food, he doesn't even eat Vietnamese food at home. If you presented him with a bowl of pho he would be like "what is this?" His wife is a White German. He is Roman Catholic. Can he even pick up a pair of chopsticks? He was brought up on schnitzel and potatoes, not rice and noodles.

And yet people like you want to celebrate this person as being Vietnamese. Sad.
Are the people in Tibet, Mongolia and xinjang not Chinese?
Do they speak mandarin, eating like the Han?

Don't try to educate me.

80% people here have false flags. Nearly all new Chinese members here are Indonesian, belonging to the Nihonjin gang. They also fake IP to tease @waz .
Indonesians?

I wonder how you came to the conclusion.

All the best for your country too!

May the heaven bring peace and prosperity to our nations.

Cheers!

I hope to visit Vietnam. I have travelled extensively in South East Asia, but haven't been there yet.

I'll be watching very carefully.

IP can be faked....It's very hard for you to test...
But I can easily tell from their way of writing Chinese.
Pure google/baidu translation.

What type of destination, you expect in your possible trip to Vietnam ?

I would love to go to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, chill at An Bang beach, visit Ha Long Bay and visit your many national parks, I love wildlife.

So you must spend at least few weeks for your hobby. Wish you will have what you expect, a nice trip.
Below is my recommendations:
1. An aerial view of Ha Long Bay in 15 minutes is a unforgetable memory. I'm not sure but maybe there'll a cable car service in near future there. Or seaplane/helicopter service. Mark of FB ever used that way
Travel by boats a little bit boring.
2. An Bang beach may get damage of rising seawater level, but don't worry there're many other nice beaches, for example Sao beach in Phu Quoc island, Mui Ne, or Nha Trang, Quy Nhon ...
3. Caves and wildlife in Quang Binh is very famous and worth for a visit of your life.
4. Sapa is another destination in the Northern for wildlife lover.

Excuse me but those are Chinese nationals.
Philipp Rosler is not a Vietnamese national. He's a German national with a German identity. So the analogy is kaput.

Importantly, Philipp Rosler, as his name implies, was adopted as a baby and brought up in a completely German household. He can't speak Vietnamese, he has no knowledge of Vietnamese culture and traditions, he has no Vietnamese family or friends. His brain is wired exactly like a White German due to his upbringing. He has no ties, linguistic, cultural, or connection with Vietnam. His wife is a White German. They speak German to their kids. Their kids have a German surname. He's a Roman Catholic. He does not identify as Vietnamese. He cannot even pick up a pair of chopsticks.

Does he celebrate Vietnamese festivals, no he does not. Why would he? He was never brought up with it. He celebrates German festivals. Vietnam and anything Vietnamese is exotic and foreign to him.

His parents are Vietnamese, so he is Vietnamese. No matter if he speaks German or Chinese, eating potato or rice, celebrating Oktoberfest or Lunar new year. End of the story.

His parents are Vietnamese? He does not even know them. Nobody has any information of his Vietnamese family when he was born. He was adopted as a 9 month old baby.

His German adoptive are the only parents he has ever known. Germany is the only country and identity he has ever known. He does not identify as Vietnamese, deal with it.

Ok ok he comes from nowhere, his parents are probably aliens. Are you happy now?

Saigon and Hanoi are looking like major cities in China in the mid 1990's, when inter-city highways and high rise buildings started to pop up all over the place. That's what Guangzhou looked like when I left China. If Vietnam can maintain the current pace of growth, it has the potential to be on par with Mexico in two decades.
