SAAB wants to offer Gripen at half of Rafale cost, with full ToT, Local Production

My thought process would be that india should dump tejas to some extent and adopt the gripen as a replacement for the dwindling sq numbers
Replacing mig-21s with gripen would give imense boost to india and unlike ruskis the sweeds are willing to provide the whole ecosystem for gripen and I bet that india could also get amazing offsets for its young civilian aerospace industry.

Its up to the gov to swallow the hard pill of their false pride and shitty beauracracy in order to achive the task of modrenizing their airforce
France has veto power which is crucial for us while Gripen comes with all the American strings attached and Eurofighter would have a lot of dealing with multiple countries and is reportedly expensive than the Rafale. Italy/Germany/UK/Spain are all lapdogs of the US and might turn the tables in times of need.
Going with F21 would put us in the same boat as Turkey is currently in regarding F35 and US might pressurize us to stop all procurements from Russia

Now that HAL's Su-30 line will be idle, it can be modified for the LCA and increase it's rate of production while we focus on the development of LCA Mk-2 and MWF

A perfect example of India using her economic leverage to prevent the sale of technology to Pakistan.. war, at its many levels !!!
makes no difference....its better for Pakistan as its uses that time to design and develop inhouse technologies

Same result would be and we have better and more reasonable options today like J-10C/Mig-35 with a similar tech and also could be cheaper than Grippen NG @Darth Vader
1 India is a much bigger market than Pakistan
2nd Grippen is not 100 % sanctions free
3 it wouldnt have come with full TOT like thunder
4 Pakistan would have been dependent , PAF didnt wanted to be self reliant.
5 Price and future upgrade was a big factor as well.
6 Thunder is offering much more , beside a thunder block 3 Pakistan really doesn't need any 4th gen fighters beside F16 and thats for 1 main reason that Pakistan already has infrastructure, pilots engineers which wont be the case of any other plane beside thunders or old mirages

Lolz seems saab is getting desperate. All the big corporations are just milking india. Also it gives us a good competition and forces us to devise counters.
France, saab, the US and mostly India should be thanked for their efforts to push us to develop our own solutions. See now india with all its wealth and privilege still is stuck with tejas while Pakistan with all its limitations have matured JF17 and is exporting it. Thanks to Allah.
