yup, or, conversely, some major negative in Indo-Russian relations before we can see something like a Su-35 sale to Pak.

don't forget India still have 50+ mkis on order yet to be inducted, + T-90s + possible Akula sub and S-400s and PAK-FA etc (all huge money deals for very sensitive strategic equipment the US will not make available to India)

a changing world, yes, but don't rush into dismissing the depth of Indo-Russian defense cooperation just yet.

This is good news for Pakistan & a good time to strengthen ties with Russia & make regional allies.

Pakistan should increase the number of MI35, PD should try to acquire Pantsir & Tor m2 to strengthen its air defence & of course finalize the deal for the best SU35. I hope this happens, also PA is looking for new tanks then why not test the real tanks?

Russians are in economic Slow down they need some customer for their economic growth . If there is market whether it's big or small they are going to grab it without loosing any of it's big customer like india. Well here intresting to see !!
For India , How Indian government next step if Russia offers any of it's inventory to pakistan?
For Pakistan it's good oppurtunity to get some medium range SAM so that they able to defend from it's eastern front. As they won't any threat any other direction.

But the hard reality Pakistan is not a 200 billion$ defence market like India's ,your key board effect wont change that fact .I replied in this post because you tried to compare Indian business with little paltry business of Pakistan .A single deal with India worth billion of dollars are far better than the a thousand soft loan deals with Pakistan .
IF they try to intimidate us they will lose deals again.We have money , a powerful diplomacy a thriving economy and fast developing technologies .Any way we will eventually develop our own weapons and replace foreigners with that until then we will invite all good companies in this world .All of them including Russia's can participate ,show case good systems and will get good deals .

As India is moving slightly away from Russia, Russia needs to fill the gap and it sees Pakistan with alot of potential. Pakistan is moving away from America and other than China, it is also watching other defence markets and Russia is one of them.
We need to increase our defence cooperation with Russia and this will certainly help us.
