MOSCOW, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Russia's China experts are positive on Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi's appraisal of China-Russia ties, a Russia daily reported on Wednesday.

On the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, Yang told a press conference that the Sino-Russia strategic partnership of coordination is a model of international relations, especially of relations between big powers.

China-Russia relationship is mature, stable, healthy and full of vigor at the current stage, Yang said.

Local newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta published an article Wednesday in which several Russian experts argued that Russia had no reason to doubt China's intentions to further ties with Russia and deepen mutual trust.

Vladimir Portyakov, deputy director of the Far East Institute of the Russian Academy of Science, said Yang's speech reflected Beijing's claim that its friendship and the strategic partnership of coordination with Moscow is quite stable.

China hopes to deepen mutual trust, which would benefit Russia when negotiating with the United States and Europe, he said.

Vilya Gelibras, a professor at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, said Russia is an ideal partner for China because it has abundant natural resources. It is better for China to develop friendship with Russia, he said.
