What's new

Russian Ambassador: Russia has no plans to sell Su-35 to Pakistan, no discussions going on.

MIG is loosing ground to protect it, Russian were ready to sell Mig-35 but Pakistan was interested in Su-35. If Su-35 deals go through then MIG (5th gen design) may be offered (probably single engine) so it will allow Russia to sell both countries.

your wishlist is endless buddy...

good... do they said... they want to develop for pakistan??

Its about partnership like Pakistan had with China in JF-17 program, every country developing 5th Gen jet for export need one. Turkey, South Korea and China already offered partnership in their 5th Gen fighter jet programs, if Su-35 deals go through then Russia will offer partnership in 5th Gen program to Pakistan and because India is working on Sukhoi's PAK FA so it not possible, and MIG also need partner for their 5th Gen project where Pakistan can fit well for them.

Now Pakistan have to wisely decide about selecting their future 5th Gen plane partner.

china -pak relation is different. . yet they don't offer tech like J 20.. Russian relation is a bit better than post.... you are just blindly jumping into conclusion to 5th gen jet and co prod with Russian... i don't know what to call you...

IF you have brought in Narendra Modi in this discussion then
You have MISSED a very important point

It is HIS Government that has worked QUIETLY and FIRMLY Behind the scenes
and GOT this official statement from Russian Government
official statement hahahaha :D
Defence ministry in this case is The Official.
Ambassador has nothing to do with the sales .

It is for Russia & India to sort out, if Russia is unwilling to grow up and do normal business with Pakistan, we too have our options open.
Brother Russia need us more than we need Russia .
It is their wish fom USSR's day to be friendly with Pakistan
Karachi steel mill is an Example .
After mother of all the deals failure countries learnt the lesson .
in futur France Russia and USA will be just looking at indian $ . Partnership and trust is something else

It took 20 days for Russian Embassy to issue this clarification.

It would be interesting to see what has India committed in return to obtain this statement from Russia.

Lets assume pakistan does get SU 35 in the end by which Pakistan might gain a little increase in its capabilities with couple of squadrons. But then what.
Indian military modernization has just started which is gonna last another couple of decades before it reaches a level of sustained upgradation through its own R&D.
Every year India is having a increase in capability which is is much more than that of quantity.
So simply put pakistan has to match increasing defence budget of India which is set to double in a decade or so.

of course Russian media but THE ARTICLE POSTED IN OFFICIAL RUSSIAN GOVT WEBSITE... anything else
Last time we heard same speculation about Mi 35 and RD 93 . What happened ? Pakistan got what it wanted. What do you think Russian can't feel your policy shift ?
Also in 1970's Russian wish to get access to warm waters CPEC is a dream come true for Russia . Mark my words if Su35 fulfills PAF needs then PAF will get it .

don't bring Cpec here... RD93 an jet engine not an Jet.... Mi 35 decades old tech... which are being used by IAF... you don't get the difference. .. you are just comparing a master piece with some decades old tech.... neither of those deals change equation between India pakistan.... but Su 35 does...

RD 93 will power the jet which is work horse of your enemy and you people claimed Pakistan will never ever get the engine
Mi 35 Hind E is the lastest version . India had dexades old model . Or if by your logic Hind E is older then so is Su 35 which is actually evolution of Su 27 .

First we got the small engine then Heli and Now jets .

Everything is happening step by step . ;)
